ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
TUESDAY,JANUARY 18TH, 2022
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Winnie the Pooh Day which celebrates everyone’s favorite bear. Winnie is more than just your average bear, he is one of Disney’s most popular characters of all time. We adore him for his calm attitude and his adventurous ways.
The first story mentioning Winnie the Pooh appeared in a London newspaper on Christmas Eve in 1925. Since then, Pooh bear has appeared in many book series, popular TV series, and numerous film adaptations.
Winnie the Pooh is a warm friend to all animals dwelling in the Hundred Acre Wood, including Piglet, Eeyore, and Kanga. His close confidant is Christopher Robin, the real name of A.A. Milne’s son. A.A. Milne was the original author of the Winnie the Pooh series.
To celebrate today watch an episode of Winnie the Pooh and enjoy some sweet honey while you watch.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
I think we dream so we don’t have to be apart for so long. If we’re in each other’s dreams, we can be together all the time.
A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh
I don’t have any Winnie the Pooh bears around my house anymore but I have Honey so I’ll be celebrating today. I love it in my tea and on my buttered English muffins. Over the years, the babes had a lot of different kinds of bears and a few of them were Winnie the Pooh bears but when I down sized I gave all the bears away.
The only bear I have left is one I use in my fall decorating and he is safely packed away right now.
Thankfully, the snow stopped early yesterday and now our roads are clear because today I’ve got a doctor appointment with my Kidney specialist. He had me go for tests a week or so ago and today I’ll be finding out the results. Hopefully they’ll be all good.
I didn’t measure the snow we got, but I’d say around 5 inches came down here. My DSIL came over with his snow blower to clear my driveway and I’m very thankful for his help.
I’ll be bundling up because it’s still very cold out, but the roads are clear
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Piglet noticed that even though he had a Very Small Heart, it could hold a rather large amount of Gratitude.
A. A. Molne, Winnie the Pooh

Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
You can’t stay in your corner of the Forest waiting for others to come to you. You have to go to them sometimes.
A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Honey is good and good for you too.
Winnie the Pooh excerpts are some of my favorites; and I'm exceptionally fond of Eeyore. Why then, have I never read the book? Thank you for this backstory!
