ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
THURSDAY,NOVEMBER 4TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!

Today is National Candy Day which a sweet treat that humans have been eating for thousands of years. The ancient Egyptians preserved nuts and fruits in honey and the Aztecs and Mayans consumed chocolate doing religious rituals as early as 300 AD.
Today, there are thousands of different types of candy, all with their own unique history. For example Tostsie Rolls were created by Leo Hirschfield in New York in 1897. He named them after his daughter who was nicknamed, Tootsie. The average American eats 25 pounds of candy each year. That may seem like a lot but the average person in Denmark eats 36 pounds a year!
Whether you like chocolate, caramels, hard candy or marzipan, treat yourself to something delicious today to celebrate this holiday!
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Years are like candy bars… We’re paying more, but they’re getting shorter.
Charles M. Schulz
My favorite candy is turtles. They are caramel and pecans covered with chocolate. They are delicious and I have some on hand to celebrate today.
I’ve always got some kind of candy on hand here, but especially some kind of chocolate.
I’ve a sweet tooth and keep it satisfied.
I got out yesterday and went with DD to get my hair cut. It hardly seems a month has passed since I last got it done, but my bangs were hanging in my eyes, so I should have realized it was time.
Today I’m going to be staying in and hopefully getting some house work done. The floor needs vacuuming which will be good exercise for me. I also need to unload the dishwasher which is full of clean dishes, so I can put those in the sink in.
It’s remaining cool and cloudy but they say we could see some sunshine by the weekend and be a bit warmer too.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Enjoy some candy today and celebrate!
That's so neat you still have a candy dish! I don't know whatever happened to my mother's -- but it always seemed she and ladies of her age always had one or two sitting out ... usually with buttermints. Tom normally keeps the junior-size Butterfingers on hand, but I can't eat just one so just abstain. What's dangerous, is having a Reese's PB cup anywhere near me. LOL.
Chocolate is an essential food, medically proven for frequent consumption.
My mom always had a candy dish out, with hard candy cemented together.
