ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, OCTOBER 25TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!!

Today is Mother in Law Day which celebrates the important member of your family, the mother of your spouse.
A recent study found over 50 percent of Americans consider their mother in law to be a true friend. These wonderful individuals are always there for us, provide and support. Today is the perfect opportunity to celebrate the two families that came together
when you married, and the woman who raised your spouse.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The most important thing is the world is family and love.
John Wooden
I’m happy to say I’m a mother in law to 7 wonderful children whom I think of as my own now. My son and daughter in laws are all a welcome addition to our family and each them is very loved.
My own mother in law, now deceased, was very supportive when we first got married but then it didn’t last so I can say I know the best and the worst sides of what a mother in law can be like. I hope that my children in law never have to see that side of me. I love them with all my heart. They came into my life and changed it for the better.
The pictures today are of my children in law, my daughter and son’s spouses and also some of my grandchildren they’ve blessed me with. They are the best part of me.
There’s good news as to what is wrong with my granddaughter, our Sweet Sugar AB, ;she has been diagnosed with salmonella, not the kind from food, but the kind you get from animals Now they can put her on the correct medication and in 4 or 5 days, she should be able to come home. She’s been fever free over 24 hours now and her appetite has improved.. Thank you for the prayers.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!

with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Family is one of the most important things in my life.
I'm so happy to hear they figured out what's wrong with your sweet granddaughter. Praying for her speedy recovery!
Oh, my heart's so relieved to know your Sweet Sugar AB's on the road to recovery. I hope her doctors and nurses are spoiling the heck out of her!
While I was too young (and foolish) to appreciate my first 2 mothers-in-law, I never got to meet Tom's mom who passed at an early age. Have to say, my DIL is a treasure; I love her like my own.
So happy to hear they found a reason for the fever and that your sweet granddaughter is on the road to recovery!! Such a relief and thanking God!!
Sad to say I didn't have the best relationship with my MIL but unfortunately she said something once that I don't think she even realized she had said it with the context in which she said it but it set me off to not want to have anything to do with her/FIL again after that. Of course I got together with them and was pleasant and cordial but I never could forget what she said and that was always at the root of my dealings with her. But it did teach me how to be a MIL when I got that opportunity and I do love my DIL and she us and even calls us "mom" and "dad" even before then got married.
Lovely pictures as always of your fantastic family Ma!

Prayers answered, I am so glad about your granddaughter!
My mother in law is a wonderful person, but can be very, very critical and controlling. Of course, now that my husband is gone, I rarely see them as they are hundreds of miles away. They do try to come down at Memorial Day, but skipped this year. They are 89.... I do not know if I will be able to go when they go, I think my days of long highway trips alone are about over.
Sweet AB! Any source of salmonella or other infections that come from a farm animal is really serious! Bless her heart.
My MIL was a gracious and loving woman. We were blessed to have her until her death in 2016, at age 89.
