ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Single Tasking Day. Research shows that multitasking is really inefficient. Trying to focus on and hop between multiple tasks dilutes focus, introduces delays, and makes things take longer to complete. Single Tasking Day, then, is about embracing one and only one task. Make a list, put it in order of priority, and get started on a task and ignore everything else until you finish it!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The first rule of focus is Wherever you are be there.

There are many times I find myself multi tasking with out even realizing it. I’ll start out to do one thing and get sidetracked by something else before I finally get back to the work at hand. I like to make lists of what I need to get done each week. I’ll plan to get laundry done on one day and then go shopping and get errands done on another, but my plans don’t always go the way I want.
There are times that sticking to your plan works, but more often than not, at least for me, my plans can change quickly. I’m really not much good at multi tasking at all, so when plans change, I just let go of what I’d previously planned and move on to what ever the day has brought me.
I’ve found I’m not the one and charge and that all things eventually work out for the good. The good Lord doesn’t run on our timetable, so we just have to trust that for whatever reason our plans don’t work out that He has it all under control.
Keeping focused on what truly matters isn’t always easy, but if it doesn’t really matter to you it’s really not worth wasting time on.
I hope you all continue to keep warm and safe on these cold days! Have a terrific Tuesday !
PRAYER REQUEST
Please join me in praying for DS#4 as it seems he now has gall bladder problems and will soon have surgery. May the dear Lord guide the doctors caring for him and may he have a successful surgery and a speedy recovery.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Only one thing has to change for us to know happiness in our lives: where we focus our attention
Greg Anderson
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2522. for a reminder to focus on what matters
2523. for a fridge that is finally working again
2524. for what truly matters in my life, faith family and friends
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
While we are focusing on fear, worry, or hate, it is not possible for us to be experiencing happiness, enthusiasm or love.

A bit of love from someone dear…

I find myself multi tasking at work since the work sometimes required me to do so, but it is good to just stick with one task until done for other things in my life :)
Will say a prayer for your DS#4. Each surgery is different, of course, but the surgeries I seem to type a lot are gallbladder removals and total knee and hip replacements.

You are so right....when I try to multi-task, I end up running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Lots of stuff gets started, but nothing gets finished!!
The key word for me is "focus".
