Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is the Full Snow Moon . Usually the heaviest snows fall in February. Hunting becomes very difficult, and hence to some Native American tribes this was the Hunger Moon.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
February, when the days of winter seem endless and no amount of wistful recollecting can bring back any air of summer.
Shirley Jackson
No doubt about it we’ve had some heavy snow here at the beginning of February. The pictures of the snow shown here today are from last February, but believe me it looks much the same here right now, except there is more of it, so I didn’t bother with any new pictures.
We are in for some much colder than normal temps and there may be some clearing in the cloud cover so we may be able to see the full moon tonight. I got a glimpse of it in the west when I got up this morning.
It’s very hard to remember being hot in the summertime. To think that there were days we had to turn the air conditioning on is almost unbelievable. Days of being indoors with the furnace running to keep warm have almost made me forget the days of warmth we had. Please remind me never to complain about being too hot.
I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday! Take good care !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There seems to be so much more winter than we need this year.
Kathleen Norris
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. Sometimes it seems as if I’m repeating a lot of things that I’m thankful for, but no moment is really ever the same and every day is a new beginning. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2459. for thoughts of Spring that give me hope for warmer days ahead
2460. for the full moon, I’ll be remembering you can see it too
2461. for snow, when it’s gone
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
In the coldest February, as in every other month in every other year, the best thing to hold on to in this world is each other.
Linda Ellerbee
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

When I lived in Montana, I always said I wished I could bottle a summer day to release in winter and a winter day to release in summer to remember the seasons like that, but of course we can't do that. If I have a choice between hot and cold, its really a hard one to make since the extremes can be so hard on one's body, but its easier to find ways to cool off (cold drink, ice cream) then sometimes to find a way to truly feel warm (at least for me). Looking forward to seeing the full moon tonight! I think the skies should be clear here.

I don't mind Winter, because I know it's temporary. I actually love getting snowed in, as long as I don't have to travel during a storm!
I will be looking for the full moon tonight.
Have a wonderful week!
