ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Doodle Day. It’s a day made to release your inner artist, a celebration of all those idle sketches you make while on the phone, or in boring meetings. These scrappy drawings are recognised each year on their very own day of celebration, so free your creative spirit and take a sketchpad to your next meeting!
Unknown to me, Doodle Day became a worldwide event in 2004 to raise awareness and funds for epilepsy research and support.
So don’t dawdle, get doodling!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We are visual creatures. When you doodle an image that captures the essence of an idea, you not only remember it, but you also help other people understand and act on it - which is generally the point of meetings in the first place.

As I’d never heard of this event before, I did a little googling before I doodled and found out this was an event mostly celebrated in the United Kingdom. Still and all doodling is lots of fun for all of us .
Research shows that doodling helps people stay focused, grasp new concepts and retain information. It can affect how we process information and solve problems. I’m all for doing something to help retain information so I think I will be doodling a lot more often from now on.
As most of you know I do have a little granddaughter that has epilepsy and she can always use a few extra prayers in her behalf. It’s a very disabling disease and a tough one to endure for sure.
More prayers for DSIL’s Dad are also needed. They’ve discovered a blocked vein in his leg and today surgery will be done to hopefully bypass the blockage so that circulation can resume in his leg, otherwise there is a chance he could loose it. May the dear Lord bless him with a with a successful surgery and guide the hands of the doctors caring for him. We ask all things in Jesus name. Amen.
Since I’m so very tired of snow and cold right now, I thought I’d share some pictures of my lilac bush blooming last spring today.
I hope you all have a fantastic Friday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Dwell in possibility
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. Sometimes it seems as if I’m repeating a lot of things that I’m thankful for, but no moment is really ever the same and every day is a new beginning. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2468. for spring pictures to share, they do lift my spirit
2469. for simple memory boosters, like doodling
2470. for prayers, they are very appreciated
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Creativity is not an end, but a means. A tool for making things exist that don’t currently exist.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Sometimes when I am under stress, I will doodle something that I have never doodled before! Just goes to show, something is a bit different in my mind.
Prayers for the gentleman for the surgery to come and for your grandchild. xx
Such pretty flowers with the hope of spring to come hopefully soon! Will say a prayer for both; your granddaughter and your DSIL's dad. Hopefully the surgery will be a success.
I love doodling; glad to see there's a day that celebrates it too!
