ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

Life is a Special Occasion!

Every day is a reason to celebrate and today, February 27th, is No Brainer Day! Now this day is for me!
By definition, a No brainer, is doing something that is simple, easy, obvious, and totally logical. Therefore, today is the day for you to do all those 'no brainer' tasks and activities. If a project requires thinking, study, or analysis of any kind, then its not the chore to do today.
It's easy to celebrate it: just be happy about its existance!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Brain cells create ideas. Stress kills brain cells. Stress is not a good idea.
Richard Saunders
I think all of us could use a day to rest our noggins. If you suffer from the winter blahs or your body and brain tired from filling out your tax return and shoveling all the snow Ohio has received this winter, you really do appreciate a day when you don’t have to think.
Sometimes we have a hard time taking our minds off our problems, but the simplest way to give our brains a break, is to trust that the good Lord is taking care of things. We need to give our brains a break and turn our thoughts elsewhere. It’s just as important to rest your mind as it is to rest the body.
Looking ahead at the long range forecast we are expecting our temps to finally rise above freezing on Sunday, but more snow is to come our way. There is now only one more day left in the month of February and I for one won’t be sad to see it go. On the bright side we’ll be celebrating a birthday tomorrow as well as the end of a very cold month.
I hope you all have a fantastic Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
A handful of patience is worth more than a bushel of brains.
Dutch Proverb
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2531. a day to rest my brain
2532. for a loving Lord, that provides all my needs
2533. for afternoon breaks with refreshing and warming cup of tea
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself
Any direction you choose.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

That is so true, Ma, to give our brains a break and to turn things over to God. I need to do that when I wake up at 3 a.m. and "stew" things in my mind. My brain certainly would enjoy a rest I think at that time of the day :)
Lets hope with the advent of spring next month your weather warms up a bit as the days approach to it!

Loving the Dutch Proverb and the snowy pictures Pam! So pretty. I am one of those who has a difficult time turning my brain off at night! I wish I was better at it! xoxo
