IT’S WEDNESDAY !!
OVER THE HUMP DAY!
It’s been pretty quiet around my house so far this week. The only thing besides work is tomorrow evenings meeting at church. Instead of Bible Study every Thursday this year we are having the 3rd Thursday set aside for questions on our faith.
Then next Thursday we’ll be doing our Book Club meeting. I’m almost done reading the book they’ve set for discussion (My Sisters Keeper) It’s not been an easy book to read at all but very thought provoking for sure.
Today looks to be a repeat of yesterday as far as the weather goes. It’s been cloudy and gloomy. It seemed like it was almost 8:00 am before it was daylight out. The sun did pop out briefly in the afternoon but didn’t stay long.

God of grace and mercy, open our hearts to your presence in the midst of the changes and opportunities that come our way

Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in

selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the

Now this isthe Living Bible:
His name is Bill.
He has wild hair, wears a T-shirt with holes in it
,jeans, and no shoes. This was literally his wardrobe for his entire
four years of college.
He is brilliant. Kind of profound and very, very bright.
He became a
Christian while attending college.
Across the street from the campus is a well-dressed, very conservative
church. They want to develop a ministry to the students but are not
sure how to go about it.One day Bill decides to go there.
He walks in with no shoes, jeans, his
T-shirt, and wild hair..
The service has already started and so Bill
starts down the aisle looking for a seat.
The church is completely packed and he can't find a seat.
By now,people are really looking a bit uncomfortable, but no one says
anything.Bill gets closer and closer and closer to the pulpit, and when he
realizes there are no seats, he just squats down right on the carpet.
By now the people are really uptight, and the tension in the air is
thick.About this time, the minister realizes that from way at the back of the
church, a deacon is slowly making his way toward Bill.
Now the deacon is in his eighties, has silver-gray hair, and athree-piece suit.
A godly man, very elegant, very dignified, very
courtly. He walks with a cane and, as he starts walking toward this
boy, everyone is saying to themselves that you can't blame him for what
he's going to do.
How can you expect a man of his age and of his background to understand
some college kid on the floor?
It takes a long time for the man to reach the boy.
The church is utterly silent except for the clicking of the man's cane.
All eyes are focused on him..
You can't even hear anyone breathing.
The minister can't even preach the sermon until the deacon does what he has
to do.
And now they see this elderly man drop his cane on the floor. With
great difficulty, he lowers himself and sits down next to Bill
andworships with him so he won't be alone.
Everyone chokes up with emotion.
When the minister gains control, he says,
What I'm about to preach, you will never remember.
What you have just seen, you will never forget.
Be careful how you live.
You may be the only Bible some people will
ever read!
I asked
the Lord to bless you
As I prayed for you today.
To guide you and protect you
As you go along your way....
His love is always with you,
His promises are true,
And when we give Him all our cares,
You know He will see us through.
TODAY’S REFLECTION
It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God. They were greatly astounded and said to one another, Then who can be saved? Jesus looked at them and said, For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible
Mark 10:25-27
If we think we’re somebody because of the friends we have or the name brand we wear, then we don’t have a chance of entering the kingdom. If you think you can pull off admission on your own, then you haven’t a chance. But with God you are already on your way!
The kingdom comes as we seek it, remember Jesus' words that we have no need to fear. The kingdom is not far from us

Loved this Ma. I try to live without regrets as well, but sometimes I can't help it. I look back and feel sad about some things. Then I just shake it out and move on.
