American Proverb
JUST FOR TODAY
We all need to look for the silver linings in our day-to-day lives
Just for today: I will allow my laughter to flow. After all laughter is the best medicine. It helps you enjoy friends and family. It helps to defuse difficult situations and eases tension
TODAY’S QUOTE
Learn to get in touch with the silence within yourself, and know that everything in this life has purpose. There are no mistakes, no coincidences. All events are blessings given to us to learn from

IT’S MONDAY !!
It was a very chilly weekend. We all persevered and managed to have some fun although the weather could have been warmer for us.
We had quite a group at the campground this past weekend. DSIL had 2 of his cousins and their families in for a visit and DDIL#1’s mom and her hubby were also there to help us celebrate the fall festival.
I will have a few pictures posted on my blog if you want to see them.
We decided that this was our last camping weekend of the year. It is just way too cold now. Next Saturday we’ll go to the campsite but just to close up everything and winterize the campers.
It’s a sad time for me as I know that winter is on the way and days and nights will mostly be spent indoors now. It’ll be dark when I wake up and almost dark when I come home from work.
There are a few bright spots to look forward to though. November will bring some happy times for our family. We’re expecting the arrival of a new grand’babe’ and we’ll have our family Thanksgiving Feast. And then after that we’ll have the Christmas Holidays and then in the new year (probably March) another grand’babe’ will be here.
It’s back to work for me today. If you are one of the lucky ones with the Columbus Day holiday off from work I do hope you enjoy it!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
I’ll be praying for a successful knee surgery
that a friend is having this week.
Lord, even before we pray you know all our needs. Thank you for your wonderful grace and for providing today what we need

our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.

selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!

TODAY’S SMILE
A young polar bear cub approached his mother one day and asked, Mom, am I a polar bear?
Of course you are, she replied with a smile.
OK, said the cub, and padded off. Later, he found his dad out by the iceberg.
Dad, am I a polar bear?
Sure you are, son! said his dad, wondering a bit at why his son would ask such a silly thing.
The next day, the cub asked the question again and again.
Are you and mom polar bears? You are? Well, then, does that make me a polar bear? Pure, 100% polar bear?
Finally, his parents couldn't stand it any longer. Son, you're driving us crazy with this question! You are a polar bear! Why do you keep asking?
The cub looked up and confessed, Cause I'm FREEZING!
TODAY’S REFLECTION
Jesus was setting out on a journey when a man ran up, knelt before him and put this question to him, Good master, what must I do to inherit eternal life?
When Christ's personal call comes to us in the circumstances of our daily lives, may we have the vision and generosity to respond
