ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
October 29th, 2009
New format for my newsletter today...
I'm changing to a pictorial journal format
Here are my Sunshine boys ready for Trick or Treat just
a few short years ago.
IT'S THURSDAY
And it is Trick or Treat time in our town tonight. From 6 til 7:30
I'll be sitting out on the porch handing out some goodies. I love seeing the
little ones and their cute costumes
THINKING
It is so true that every time I get something done
It's time to turn around and do it again
Come on in and have a seat
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
I found some nice little pretzel nuggets filled with
peanut butter...mmmm
And a per pot size of FULL MOON MOCHA bag
of coffee
It does sound good
Here is DD painting her Halloween shirt this year.
The one she has on is the tie-dye one we did last year
ATTIRE FOR TODAY
Since it is supposed to be 65 and partly sunny today
I think slacks, a Halloween shirt (because it is Trick or Treat)
and a light jacket are in order
PRAYERS
I'm always praying for our military and for peace in the world
If you have any prayer requests I'd be glad to add them here
My friends sister, who had the surgery that we prayed for last week is doing well and is recovering more day by day. She says THANK YOU for the prayers!
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
PEOPLE
Talked to DS#6 on Tuesday evening. He's been busy on the weekends trying to get things done outside. He has a Halloween display in his front yard. Part of it was taken out by either kids or deer the other night so now he has to do repairs
They've got pumpkins to carve on Friday evening and Saturday, October 31st is their Trick or Treat.
I am missing that time spent on the porch swing
PLACES
I didn't get out at lunch time yesterday. I stayed in the office as my boss was out till afternoon. Today he's supposed to be in by lunch time so I will probably get out. However, it will probaby be doing errands for work. At least the weather will be nice today for running around.
AROUND HOME
I will be very glad when the weekend comes and I can get some more done at home. I every good intention of tackling my craft room…oh dear, that is a job!
TO DO
This was before my next door sister took the mower to the leaves and mulched them last weekend… Our tree is empty now but I’m sure there will be more from the neighboring trees
October colors down our street
I don't know if you all will like this way of doing my newsletter or not but I had about exhausted all the poems quotes and stories I could find to share. Not wanting to infringe upon others copyrights and such I've decided just to do my own thing.
This way I can still keep in touch with family and friends and hopefully keep us all looking ON THE BRIGHT SIDE of things
Love,
ma

I wish all the leaves were off my trees. But I'll still rake this weekend and then perhaps leave the rest to mulch naturally and protect my little garden.
The kiddies are so precious!
