TODAY’S QUOTE
Hope begins in the dark, the stubborn hope that if you just show up and try to do the right thing, the dawn will come. You wait and watch and work: you don't give up.

HAPPY FRIDAY !!
Finally the last work day of the week has arrived. I’m going to celebrate and go home after work today and put my pj’s on and relax.
Saturday morning I’m taking the Silver Streak in for it’s winterizing. They had told me when I was there last that I needed to have the radiator flushed before winter.
Other than church on Sunday my weekend should be a pretty quiet one. Sounds like a good weekend to be in as it’ll rain Saturday and maybe snow on Sunday. I should get plenty of that good R & R for sure.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me,
and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY IS…SPICY GUACAMOLE DAY
Holey Moley! - It's The World's Best Guacamole Recipe!Called ahuacatl by the Aztecs, avocados grew wild throughout Central America and Mexico as early as 900 AD. In fact, archeologists have found pottery with images of avocados from this time period. And they are SO good for you!

2 limes (squeeze juice - fresh is best-not bottled)
6 green onions (the long skinny ones chopped thin)
2 small tomatos (diced)
1 garlic glove (smash it thoroughly)
Drop of Tequila
1/2 cup cilantro (chopped fine)
1/2 cup green salsa
1/2 teaspoon ground roasted cumin
salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
1/2 teaspoon chili
pepper
Dash of Tabasco
Mash the avocadoes with a potato masher. Using a fork, whisk in the remaining ingredients. Place the guacamole in a medium serving dish.Cover the entire surface with a layer of sour cream, so that there is no green showing. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top. Sprinkle on the olives. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate it for at least 1 hour before serving.Serve with the Authentic Mexican Nachos

TODAY’S SMILE
I once heard of a man who had a sign over his desk that read about as follows:I am an old man, and have had many troubles;
but most of them never happened. When asked for an explanation, he said, 'Many times I have imagined some trouble that might happen to me, picturing it in its worst possible details, and working myself up into a frenzy of fear over it, only to find that when the time actually came, the affair took another course entirely

TODAY’S REFLECTION
By grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.
Ephesians 2:8
Are we embracing the philosophy of egotism, which is really a confidence that will prove eternally self-destructive? Or have we, like Paul, embraced the self-sacrificing grace of Jesus Christ
We are saved not by what we do but by trusting what Christ has done
