TODAY’S QUOTE
True prayer always receives what it asks for - or something better.

HAPPY MONDAY !!
BACK TO WORK!
I had a nice surprise yesterday as DD and her hubby had me over for Sunday Dinner. She is a good cook and I even got some leftovers to bring home!
DS#5 and his wife were there too. It was just so nice being with all of them.
Very soon now we’ll have our Thanksgiving celebration and I’m getting very excited about having all my family together. We all have so much to be thankful for.
I talked to our ‘Princess’ on Sunday evening when DS#1 called to check in. She got all ‘A’s’ on her report card. It’s the very first time she received letter grades on a report card. I can only hope she keeps up the good work.
It is very cold here and it feels like a touch of winter in the air.
Take good care all!
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
25 WORDS

TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY IS… National Forget-Me-Not Day
Forget-Me-Not Day is a day to remember family, friends, and loved ones.
People use this day to get in touch with family, friends and loved ones, especially those who we haven't seen in a while. You don't want them to forget you, do you!? This day is intended to remember the living. But, some people have used it to memorialize a loved one who is no longer with us

TODAY’S SMILE
It had been a hard winter in the Appalachian area. The snow had piled up deeper and deeper, the mercury dropped, rivers froze, people suffered. The Red Cross used helicopters to fly in supplies. One crew had been working day after day--long hours.
They were on their way home late in the afternoon when they saw a little cabin submerged in the snow. There was a thin whisper of smoke coming from the chimney. The rescue team figured they were probably about out of food, fuel, perhaps medicine. Because of the trees they had to put the helicopter down a mile away. They put on heavy packs with emergency supplies, trudged through heavy snow, waist deep, reached the cabin exhausted, panting, perspiring.
They pounded on the door. A thin, gaunt mountain woman opened the door and the lead man gasped, "We're from the Red Cross." She was silent for a moment and then she said, "It’s been a hard winter, Sonny, I just don't think we can give anything this year.
TODAY’S WORD
horripilation \haw-rip-uh-LAY-shuhn; ho-\, noun:

TODAY’S REFLECTION
Jesus said to his disciples,“Things that cause sin will inevitably occur, but woe to the one through whom they occur. It would be better for him if a millstone were put around his neckand he be thrown into the seathan for him to cause one of these little ones to sin.Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him;and if he repents, forgive him.And if he wrongs you seven times in one day and returns to you seven times saying, ‘I am sorry,’you should forgive him
Luke 17: 1-7
Lord, this is the people that longs to see your face.
The Lord asks us to have faith and challenge the faith that we have through our own experiences and experiences of people who come into our life path. He asks us to be faithful and to forgive those who genuinely ask for our forgiveness, no matter how many times they ask for it. It sounds—and is—challenging to deal with people who sin time and again and then ask for our forgiveness in the same breath.
This is the opportunity, which Jesus makes for us, to hold our tongues when it would be easier to say harsh words, easier to act angry than to delve into our patience, easier to turn our backs when really we need to open our hearts and embrace those people. This is our duty, our path, and our lead comes from Jesus. How wonderful to have such a lesson to learn. Lord, make us aware of what experiences we have had and also be more aware of what we have learnt from them.
