TODAY'S THOUGHT
A friend knows the song of my heart
and sings it to me when my memory fails.

TODAY’S QUOTE
I believe the nicest and sweetest days are not those on which anything very splendid or wonderful or exciting happens but just those that bring simple little pleasures, following one another softly, like pearls slipping off a string.

HAPPY THURSDAY !!
For the next 2 days it seems we have clouds hanging over us and yes they’ll probably send some rain our way. I’ll be making my own sunshine for sure.
Hope you are having better weather than we are or can find some way to chase the dreariness out of the day.
Every evening when I get home, I go around lighting some candles which make it seem a little warmer and cheerier here at my house. They make my house smell pretty good too.
The beagle had a few bad days over last weekend and wouldn’t even eat, but he seems to have perked up a little. I got some different food for him and he is eating that. He always follows me around the house but seldom goes upstairs with me as it seems the effort is too much for him. He is like my shadow most of the time.
Tonight is my Bible Study so I’ll be going out for that. I don’t like to drive at all after dark, but thankfully a friend picks me up.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me,
and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY IS…WORLD KINDNES DAY
The best-selling book, Random Acts of Kindness, helped to start a movement that has spread around the world. The book, and the many books on kindness that followed, helped to highlight the transformative power that each of has to change the world with kindness, one person at a time.
The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation helps to promote "kindness" by providing inspiration, information, and resources to celebrate kindness throughout the year as well as a special World Kindness Day on November 13, World Kindness Week in November, and a Random Acts of Kindness Week in February.
Others celebrate the first of every month as Kindness Day. In this way we begin each month by rededicating ourselves to change the world, one act of kindness at a time. Together we are creating a more peaceful, just and sustainable world through kindness
TODAY’S TRIVIA
Tonight we will see the Beaver Moon, so-called by the New England and Great Lakes Native Americans because it's time for beavers to get serious about preparing for the coming winter
Today is National Indian Pudding Day
Today is National Reread Old Letters or Magazines Day
1789: In a letter to a friend, Benjamin Franklin wrote, "In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes
1940: Walt Disney released the movie Fantasia, and it bombed. In 1967 he released it again, and it was a hit
1977: The comic strip "Li'l Abner" by Al Capp appeared in newspapers for the last time
1998: Warner Brothers released "The Wizard of Oz" on the big screen 59 years after its original release
Don't be fooled by the calendar. There are only as many days in the year as you make use of. One man gets only a week's value out of a year while another gets a full year's value out of a week.

TODAY’S SMILE
A little boy is telling his Grandma how "everything" is going wrong. School, family problems, severe health problems, etc. Meanwhile, Grandma is baking a cake. She asks the child if he would like a snack, which of course he does. "Here. Have some cooking oil.""Yuck" says the boy."How about a couple raw eggs?""Gross, Grandma.""Would you like some flour then? Or maybe baking soda?""Grandma, those are all yucky!"To which Grandma replies: "Yes, all those things seem bad all by themselves. But when they are put together in the right way, they make a wonderfully delicious cake!
God works the same way. Many times we wonder why he would let us go through such bad and difficult times. But God knows that when He puts these things all in His order, they always work for good! We just have to trust Him and, eventually, they will all make something wonderful!"
TODAY’S WORD
soiree \swah-RAY\, noun:
an evening party or social gathering
by 1793, from French soirée, from soir "evening," from Old French soir, from Latin sero (adv.) "late, at a late hour," from serum "late hour," neuter of serus, late
TODAY’S REFLECTION
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
Psalm 119:11
Reading, studying, and memorizing God's word take effort, but the rewards far outweigh the effort we expend. Having scripture hidden in our heart provides continual blessings in our daily walk with God
TODAY’S ADVICE FROM THE OLD FARMER’S ALMANAC
Hang your shoes out the window, and you will dream of your true love
38 DAYS UNTIL WINTER !
