TODAY'S THOUGHT
If instead of a gem, or even a flower, we should cast the gift of a loving thought into the heart of a friend, that would be giving as the angels give.
George MacDonald
TODAY’S ACTION
Remember that it is you and the spirit which you bestow your gifts that matter
TODAY’S QUOTE
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

HAPPY SUNDAY !!
It’s a chilly morning here and I’m sipping the good cup of coffee and enjoying waking up slowly. Today is my day for R&R and I’m ready for it.
I need to run to the store after church and pick up a few things, but that’s about all I need to do today.
They are saying it’ll remain cold here for most of the week but we may see 50 by Friday. I have my layered outfits already for the work week so I’ll be staying warm no matter.
I almost forgot to let you know that when I got gas this week it was only 1.94 a gallon. Wow! That is a first in a long long time. I can’t remember when it was under 2.00 .
The week ahead is looking quiet. The only thing after work in the evenings will be my Thursday evening Bible Study. It’ll be quiet like this now for most of the winter. The only time it’ll be any different will be at the Holidays and our family get togethers.
Have a great day all ! Another wonderful one on the Way !
TODAY’S PRAYERS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
25 WORDS
God, I thank You for today, for the ways You will bless me,
and for the ways that I will serve others in Your name
TO REMEMBER…
I am in the hands of God,
and in God’s time all things will be made well.
TODAY IS…NEON SIGN DAY
Neon is an inert, gas. British chemists Sir William Ramsey and Morris Travers discovered the element in the atmosphere in 1898 and named it neon for the Greek word that means "new". Little or no use was made of neon until l910 when Georges Claude experimented with passing an electrical charge through the neon gas. He received a patent for the Neon Sign on this day in 1911.Las Vegas is so glad he did!

TODAY’S WORD
resplendent \rih-SPLEN-duhnt\, adjective:
very bright or shining; splendid
by 1448, from Latin resplendentem "brilliant, radiant," prp. of resplendere "to glitter, shine," from re-, intensive prefix, + splendere "to shine, be splendid
TODAY’S REFLECTION
Blessed the man who fears the Lord.
Psalm 112
I enjoy helping my friends, but grow weary when someone takes advantage of me. I don't mind helping someone move, but when I'm asked five times in two years to lug the same sofa for the same person, my resentment increases. It's fine with me if people stay in my guest room for several months, until they get settled. But when the same person repeatedly strains my hospitality in a short time span, I start tapping my foot.
God, however, doesn't tap His foot, nor does He get exasperated with repeated calls for help. Paul's line today in Philippians brought me up cold. He tells the community (in so many words), which is trying to repay his kindness: ''Herewith is my receipt, which says that I have been fully paid and more.'' I'd like to grow into such graciousness.
Prayer: Teach us, Lord, to be as endlessly gracious with others as You are with us.
