Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
December 8th is National Brownie Day which celebrates chocolatey, chewy brownies.
Brownie lovers, love chocolate. Conversely, chocolate lovers, love brownies. Therefore, its only natural, that we have a special day to celebrate brownies.
It's fun and easy to enjoy this special day. First, select your favorite brownie recipe, and bake a batch of brownies. You can add nuts, if you prefer. Topping the brownies with chocolate frosting is a good thing, too. Finally, eat them! You can have them for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or as a snack.
Happy National Brownie Day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Christmas is the season for kindling the fire of hospitality in the hall, the genial flame of charity in the heart.
Washington Irving
I found an easy recipe for making some Christmas tree brownies so that is what I’m sharing with you all today. I might just have to make a double batch of these to share when we have our family Christmas celebration this year. Everyone loves Brownies!
Christmas Tree Brownies
1 cup sugar
¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¾ cup flour
½ teaspoon salt
1 stick of butter, melted and slightly cooled
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 eggs
red, white, and green icing writers
m&m candies
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a bowl, combine the sugar, cocoa powder, flour, & salt. Mix in the butter, vanilla, & eggs. Stir to combine. Grease & flour an 8x8 baking dish. Pour the batter into the baking dish. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
Let the brownies cool completely. Remove from the baking dish. Cut the entire thing in half into two rectangles. Then slice each rectangle into equally portioned triangles.
Decorate with the icing writers & m&m candies.
The pictures today are courtesy of google images, but I hope to be making some of my own soon!
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday !

16 Days Until Christmas
Advent tip for today: Hang some mistletoe and give out kisses. Chocolate kisses are always good too !
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
