Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
The second Friday of December is celebrated every year as Lost and Found Day. Losing things is part of life and if what we have lost is not very important, most people tend to stop looking for it after trying for a while. In fact, lost and found
departments all around the world are full of things that people lost and have forgotten about.
Today make an extra effort to find the things that you have misplaced.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Not all those who wander are lost.
J.R.R. Tolkien
I’ve probably spent well over half my life in the research department looking for things I’ve lost. Searching out keys and
phones when they are missing is not much fun at all. I’ve learned to keep things in a specific place so that I can find them, but every now and then I still slip up.
I’ve got my house pretty much decorated now for Christmas. I was missing my Christmas plates, but they have been found. Of course they were in the last place I looked. That is what a few of the pictures are of today.
The lost and found theme for today reminds me of one of my all time favorite hymns
Amazing Grace
Amazing grace! How sweet the sound
That sav'd a wretch like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
I can remember times I felt lost, but thankfully I can now find the bright side of every day.
It also reminds me of lost pennies. Despite the fact that pennies may not seem like they are worth much, they can still be found and used to help those in need to whom each and every penny counts and adds up.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Get lost in the clouds every now and then so you never lose sight of God's wonder.
Paul Vitale
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
3391. for finding things that have been lost
3392. for pennies, they do add up
3393. for God’s grace, He’s been very good to me
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
13 Days Until Christmas
Advent tip for today:
Unwrap and read a new Christmas book.
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Do it now! can affect every phase of your life. It can help you do the things you should do but don't feel like doing. It can keep you from procrastinating when an unpleasant duty faces you. But it can also help you do those things that you want to do. It helps you seize those precious moments that, if lost, may never be retrieved.
Napoleon Hill
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Glad you found your Christmas plates, Ma :) They sure look cute :) Like you, over the years I've gotten to putting the things I need like keys, phone, etc., in one place when I'm done with them. It sure makes it easier when looking for them. What always amazes me about lost and found is the lost and found box or bin or whatever at a school and how full it is at the end of the school year. Makes you wonder why some having come to collect their items they might have been missing.

Oh my goodness....my dear husband, whom I love dearly loses something about three times a week. How I admire his energy in finding all that stuff. Ha.
Hope you are enjoying your Christmas season.
Be blessed!
