Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
March 13th is Ear Muff Day which celebrates a warm invention...the ear muff! People in cold climates can really appreciate this day. And, they are ever so thankful to the person who created the ear muff. If you live in Florida, you might not even know what an ear muff is.
Ear muffs keep your ears warm, and protect you from ear infections and earaches resulting from icy cold wind and weather. Manufacturers have responded to their popularity with a variety of designs and colors, making one to fit almost anyone's personality.
It is really easy to celebrate Ear Muff Day.... just wear your ear muffs!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
In the spring I have counted one hundred and thirty-six different kinds of weather inside of four and twenty hours.
Mark Twain
Here at my house I’m hoping it’s time to put those earmuffs away. The pictures today show some of the snow melting away. We’ve been blessed with a week of warmer weather and lots of our snow has disappeared. It’s not gone yet, but we do still have some warmer days ahead. The top picture is of the beginning of the week and the bottom one is from yesterday morning. By the end of the day more had melted.
It may not sound very exciting to you, but for me seeing it all go away is a blessing. I’m not saying it won’t snow again, because sometimes we do get snow in April, but then it doesn’t last long at all and quickly melts away.
Our family Easter celebration is coming up at the end of the month, March 28th, and I’m hoping all the snow will definitely be gone by then and we can enjoy a warm sunny day for the annual Easter Egg hunt. But then a little snow shouldn’t stop the fun cause we all have warm coats, boots and earmuffs!
With all the celebrations going on this month, I’m skipping my 3rd Sunday dinner for my family. It seems we’ve had plenty of reason to be together with out any more. But having said that, remember I always fix Sunday dinner when I’m at home and family is always welcome anytime, any day.
So often we wait till there are special reasons to be together like birthdays and holidays, but anytime is a good time to be with those you love.
I hope you all have a fantastic Friday the 13th !

I remember a couple times in Montana there would be snow for the Easter egg hunts and people would make snow bunnies, not snow men :)
It is good to hear that the snow is melting! The warmer weather must feel good to know that spring is in the air and ear muffs will be put aside for another season :)

Loved the pics of the melting snow Pam. I think my family is sick to their eye teeth of the snow this year. It came late and it came heavy. Time for it to go! I can remember how lovely it feels when you can smell Spring in the air. Hoping you have a beautiful Saturday! Thanks for ALL that you share. It's always very uplifting and inspiring! xoxoxo
