Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today we celebrate Remember When Day. Remember when a loved one hadn’t yet passed away? Remember when life wasn’t so challenging? Today, 'remember when' and enjoy lots of happy memories.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We do not remember days; we remember moments.
Cesare Pavese
I do treasure precious memories from the past. Very often they are memories of happy times that do help me to get through the tough times. Some of the happy memories I have are of the time we spent camping and that’s what the pictures are of today. Spring in the woods was a spectacular !
Below are four things I’ve learned to remember in those challenging seasons of life that have helped me
Remember that your Character should always be stronger than your Circumstances. We can’t always control what happens to us, but we can always control how we choose to respond.
Remember that your Struggles always lead to Strength. Every difficulty in your life, whether big or small, is something God will use to produce more strength, faith and perseverance in you if you let Him!
Remember that God’s timing is always perfect. God’s plans are almost always different from our plans, but His plans are always perfect!
Remember that God will never leave your side. You may feel like you’re going through this struggle all alone, but He will be by your side to the end so never lose hope!
Always remember too that this moment will never come again. And there is always something precious about every moment. So don’t let it pass you by! Soon it will just be a memory.
I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday and take time to remember when...
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Gratitude is the heart's memory.
Proverb
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
2607. for good memories, they are treasures for sure
2608. for time spent with some of my grandchildren this week
2609. for a good turkey sandwich made from my Sunday roast
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Make a memory with your children,
Spend some time to show you care;
Toys and trinkets can't replace those
Precious moments that you share.
Money doesn't buy real pleasure,
It doesn't matter where you live;
Children need your own attention,
Something only you can give.
Childhood's days pass all too quickly,
Happy memories all too few;
Plan to do that special something,
Take the time to go or do.
Make a memory with your children,
Take the time in busy days;
Have some fun while they are growing,
Show your love in gentle ways.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

That was great advice you shared, Ma, about what to do to remember when, when times are tough! I think the older we get we tend to talk more of remember when, probably because we have lived for so long and have seen so many different changes in the world!
