62 DAYS UNTIL FALL
Sunrise: 6:16 am
Sunset: 8:53 pm
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
July 24th is Tell an Old Joke Day. Try out those terrible, trite and over told one liners, puns, quips and riddles.
Humor is a reminder that no matter how high the throne one sits on, one sits on one's bottom.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It is already tomorrow in Australia.
Charles Schulz
I do love a good joke and I also love to laugh. I've not heard a good one lately but I continue to laugh a lot. Mostly at myself. If you can't laugh at yourself once in awhile, you leave the job to everyone else. It's easier for me to laugh at myself than to have someone else laugh at me.
I've come to realize that it's never a good thing to take anything too seriously. If you make a mistake it's a good thing to laugh at yourself instead of berating yourself over something that can't be changed.
They say if you can laugh at yourself you have an optimistic character and a good sense of humor. Yes it is important to be able to laugh at yourself. If you can't, then you probably need to lighten up a bit.
You can't feel anxious, angry, or sad when you're laughing. Laugh at yourself. Allow others to laugh at you. Then move on.
Today's pictures are of our butterfly bush. I tried to capture a picture of the beautiful butterfly on the bush, but as you can see, I didn't do a very good job of it.
Have a wonderful Wednesday everyone!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Laughter is the shock absorber that eases the blows of life.

I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
790. for good jokes that make me laugh
791. for the ability to laugh at myself

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their

Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
