79 DAYS UNTIL FALL
Sunrise: 6:01
Sunset: 9:05
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
July 5th is Workaholics Day, recognizing those who persistently keep their noses to the grindstone, their shoulders to the wheel, and their pencils pushing across their pages.
By working faithfully eight hours a day you may eventually get to be boss and work twelve hours a day.
Robert Frost
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Find a job you like and you add five days to every week.
H. Jackson Brown
I hope that you all are enjoying a long holiday weekend with some time off from work, but if you do have to work at least take a little time off and rest and relax.
Having to work and being a workaholic are really two different things entirely. Some people get into working so much they don't know how to relax. It's important that each one of us finds something else to do in life besides work. There are lots of choices out there like reading, playing some kind of game, swinging on a porch swing, even gardening is relaxing.
I can remember my dad complaining because he couldn't work anymore. He really didn't have any other things he liked to do and so he was very unhappy because he couldn't do the work he wanted to. It's good to have a choice when we can't work or we have time off.
Hope you all have a fantastic Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Good for the body is the work of the body, and good for the soul is the work of the soul, and good for either is the work of the other.
Henry David Thoreau
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
733. for work to do
734. for being able to do what is needed
735. for time off, we all need it
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
Happiness is an attitude. We either make ourselves miserable, or happy and strong. The amount of work is the same.
Francesca Reigler
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
