82 DAYS UNTIL FALL
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
July 2nd is I Forgot Day. Today you don't need an excuse; just say, Sorry - I forgot
Never ruin an apology with an excuse.
Benjamin Franklin
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Did you ever stop to think, and forget to start again?
Winnie the Pooh
There are times that we are all forgetful. We might forget someone's birthday or an anniversary, but we are all human and can say we're sorry. I forget where I put my phone, or my car keys quite often too and that makes me very sorry.
I do try to keep my calendar up to date so that I don't forget important events. But I do need to remember to look at it more often. I also have a journal where I keep record of important things to remember. I've lists of all kinds from the groceries to the to do lists. Thanks to the neat little app on my phone, my lists and my calendar are always readily available. Truly, if I forget something there is no excuse.
Speaking of reminders, the 4th of July holiday will soon be upon us so I couldn't miss out on this chance to remind you all about firecracker safety. Fireworks are a summer tradition for many families. Unfortunately, injuries from fireworks are another tradition that often seems to follow when kids are allowed to play with fireworks. The best advice I've heard is to skip buying fireworks that you would plan to use at home, and instead, take your family to see a public fireworks show.
I'll probably be sitting here on the front porch watching the fireworks display here this year.
Hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!
Forget about the days
when it's been cloudy,
but don't forget your
hours in the sun.
Forget about the times
you've been defeated,
but don't forget the
victories you've won.
Forget about the mistakes
that you can't change now,
but don't forget the lessons.
Forget about the misfortunes
you've encountered,
but don't forget the
times your luck has turned.
Forget about the days
when you've been lonely,
but don't forget the friendly
smiles you've seen....
Forget about the plans
that didn't seem
to work out right,
but don't forget to
always have a dream.

COUNTING MY GIFTS
An apology is the superglue of life. It can repair just about anything.
Lynn Johnston
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
724. for my calendar that keeps me on top of things

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
Even if happiness forgets you a little bit, never completely forget about it.
Jacques Prévert
