74 DAYS UNTIL FALL
Sunrise: 6:05 am

If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
Smack in the sweltering midsummer is July 11th - Swimming Pool Day.
Dive in! It's Swimming Pool Day on July 11th.
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Sometimes God calms the storm. At other times, he calms the sailor. And sometimes he makes us swim.

I haven't been swimming this summer but I do have some pictures to share of some of my grands swimming. No, I do not have a pool here, I got the pictures off the internet and am thankful for them. Swimming is a lot of fun on hot days and that's what we've been having a lot of here.
I feel a bit cooler just looking at the pictures. What fun they were all having! Here I just stay inside to keep cool.
Sometimes in life we have to just dive right in. Life is a lot like taking a plunge into choppy waters and they say that when you dive into something you should do so with all your heart. It is unpredictable and there are waves. There are calm days and there are rough days. Sometimes it’s warm and inviting, sometimes it’s cold and scary. Don't wait until everything is just right - take the plunge
Since it's been so rainy and humid here I often feel like I'm a fish without the water. Tomorrow is supposed to be the best day weather wise that we've had in a long time. The forecast is for 0% precipitation. We haven't had that in a long long time.
Hope you all stay cool and have a wonderful Thursday! Hang in there ! The rain is supposed to be stopping for awhile!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
We never know the worth of water till the well is dry.
Thomas Fuller
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
751. for cool refreshing water
752. for pools, lots of summertime fun
753. for grandchildren that make me SMILE
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
Don't wait for your ship to come in - swim out to it.
