66 DAYS UNTIL FALL
Sunrise: 6:12 am
Sunset: 8:57 pm
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
Who needs a nap today? Did you know that naps are actually healthy? Hunker down in a hammock, stretch out in the sand or bed down in your bunk to grab a catnap and catch a few Z's on July 20th. It's Nap Day!
No day is so bad it can't be fixed with a nap.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Think of what a better world it would be if we all – the whole world – had cookies and milk about 3 o’clock every afternoon and then lay down with our blankets for a nap,
Robert Fulghum
I've learned to love my naps. Whether it be on the porch swing outside or here in the house, naps are wonderful. Before retirement, naps were an unknown quantity for me, but any more they are almost always a daily occurrence here at my house.
Napping isn't just good for kids. I've found they are very good for your health. They tend to lift the spirits and sharpen the senses. They recharge your body and your brain. Taking 15-20 minutes a day for a nap is a great way to boost your energy.
I need all the help I can get these hot summer days.
I hope you all are staying cool. The heat continues here. They say we may be in for some storms and cool back down into the 80's this coming week. That will be a good thing, I think!
Take good care and have a super Saturday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Happiness is an afternoon nap...
I am trying to count at least 3 things I'm thankful for each day and then in 1 year's time I'll have counted 1000 gifts. I’ll be sharing them and giving thanks to God for these gifts each day.
778. for naps
779. for restored energy
780. for a little cooler weather ahead
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
The amount of sleep required by the average person is five minutes more.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

I love a nap! I especially those 'delicious' ones. You know the kind. Where you sleep DEEP and KNOW you have had a NAP when you wake up!!
