ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
JANUARY 11TH, 2010
It's MONDAY…
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR PRETTY LADY TODAY!
May the dear Lord bless you today and always!
I’m back to showing you some old pictures again today. These were all from 2008 when I first started camping. The picture above is mid April and as you can see it doesn’t have much green in it. I think it’s better than the all white scenery we have right now. After the winter snows melt we always have the big leaf clean up at the campground. It’s often wet and muddy there too.
By May there is a lot more green showing on the ground and in the trees
THINKING
We now begin our journey in this ordinary time after Christmas and before Lent. It is a great time to be renewed in our call to follow Jesus and to listen carefully to how he will show us how to follow him
Life presents many opportunities to grow, change and choose direction. Whatever lies before me, I can be sure that God is in the midst of it
By July things are really green. Here is DS#2 fishing when he visited
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
This recipe isn’t really new at all but it is one of my favorite quick and easy dinners to fix. The babes didn’t like having the peas added to this dish so I’d often just serve them on the side. I would also add a tablespoon of butter to the cooked noodles before mixing in the other ingredients.
1 lb. noodles, cooked
1 can peas
1 can tuna
1 can cream of mushroom soup
Salt and pepper to taste.
Mix all ingredients together in greased casserole. Bake at 375 degrees for 20-25 minutes or until browned. Makes 6-8 servings.

Lots of sunshine in June
AROUND HOME
Today and tomorrow will still bring us a chance of snow flurries they say but come Wednesday through Friday we should see warmer days and some sunshine too. I’m thinking that maybe this will be what they call our January thaw. It’s been over a month since we’ve had temps above free
zing.
The steamy days of August often bring tent campers to the campground. The tent area is just on the other side of the road from where our campers are.
FAMILY ALBU
M
We’ve had a lot of trouble getting grass to grow in this area. Last year we did some reseeding so I’m hoping it looks a little better there than this picture is showing

You're retiring this year? Good for you! I suspect you will be at your camper every chance you can! Have a good Monday.
