a pictorial journal
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
JANUARY 8TH, 2010
It's FINALLY FRIDAY…
Hang in there ! Spring isn’t all that far away!
The picture above is of our Pussy Willow tree last March. Look at that blue sky too. That’s something we haven’t seen for awhile.
By evening yesterday we had a few inches more on the ground. This morning looks like
We only got an inch or so over night but there is more coming our way. Our part of Ohio is under a severe weather alert due to Lake effect snow coming our way.
This afternoon is my appointment at the Social Security office. Say a prayer the roads stay clear so I can get there.
And here is my Star Magnolia bush that bloomed so gorgeously last April.
THINKING
Physical exercise has some value, but spiritual exercise is valuable in every way, because it promises life both for the present and for the future
1 Timothy 4:8
Studying God's word is worth the time and effort. Just like walking, it gives many rewards.
This was the so very good Lemon Mint Tea that we were drinking in June.
NEW IN THE KITCHEN
HAYSTACKS
Bag of corn or tortilla chips
1 can of chili
Onion - diced
Lettuce

Warm chili in Dutch Oven or skillet. Crush corn chips. Top chips with chili,

May brought lovely wildflowers our way. These are blue bells.
PRAYERS
Dear God, help us to commit ourselves to listening
to you and learning from your word
Amen
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
GOD BLESS YOU!
June brought some beautiful days our way for sure
AROUND HOME
I’m sure going to really appreciate it when it gets warm and the sun shines again! I read where we should be making sure we get extra vitamin D since we are sunshine deprived here. I know there is plenty in Milk and also in the daily vitamins I take.
But Salmon, Mackerel and Tuna also are a good sources too. I think I’ll be making some tuna salad sandwiches for lunch, I’ve been hungry for them any way.
I also keep drinking my orange juice or eating oranges every day to get my Vitamin C so hopefully that will help too. So far I’ve had a healthy winter and I’m hoping it stays that way.
FAMILY ALBUM
This was April last year at the campground. You can see the children were wearing shorts. We had some nice warm days in late April. After this snowy winter we’ll be hoping for some more of them this year too.
COUNTING THE DAYS
August brought us some lush green leaves and heavenly warm weather too. I hope all my pictures helped to warm you up a bit on this cold snowy day.
70 DAYS UNTIL SPRING !
98 DAYS UNTIL CAMPING SEASON BEGINS
Keep looking ON THE BRIGHT SIDE of things.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone near…
Love,
