ON THE BRIGHT SIDE

28 DAYS UNTIL SPRING
Sunrise: 7:16 am

Life is a Special Occasion!
The General Assembly of the United Nations proclaimed February 20th as World Day of Social Justice. Social development aims at social justice, solidarity, harmony and equality within and among countries. On this day, we contemplate what it means to be part of one human family, we acknowledge those who work to eliminate the inequalities of our world and we reflect on the meaning of global justice and human dignity

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.
I’m thankful to live in a country which pledges justice for all. I do believe we were all created equal and every person has individual rights. Being a believer means that one lives a certain way, walking with the Lord, doing justice, loving kindness, living peaceably among all people.
I believe that our families are the starting point and the center for justice. We do this through our daily choices. How we treat our parents, spouses and children is a reflection of our commitment to Christ's love and justice. How we spend our time and money, and whether our family life includes an ethic of charity, service and action for justice matters. The lessons we teach our children through what we do as well as what we say determines whether they care for the least among us. What comes around, goes around.
The pictures today have nothing to do at all with the topic for today. They show the mounds, or maybe I should say mountains of snow we saw in a parking lot this past Sunday. It’ll be interesting to see just how long it will take for them to melt. As of now there will not be many days above freezing in the days to come.
I hope you all have a fantastic Friday !
Act as if what you do makes a difference. It does.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
All the great things are simple, and many can be expressed in a single word: freedom, justice, honor, duty, mercy, hope.
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. Sometimes it seems as if I’m repeating a lot of things that I’m thankful for, but no moment is really ever the same and every day is a new beginning. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2510. for our country, which pledges justice for all
2511. for sunshine on a cold, cold day
2512. for some very ripe bananas, another loaf of banana bread in the making
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!

ADVICE FOR TODAY
It is reasonable that every one who asks justice should do justice.
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
