THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Slow and steady wins the race.
Robert Lloyd
I don’t have a hammock nor do any of my friends. But I do often take time to sit back and relax with a cold drink and a book. My favorite place to do that would be on the sun porch. It’s enclosed and I don’t have to worry about any bugs.
I often think of myself as a turtle. I only have one speed and that is slow. But eventually I do get there. It just takes me longer to do everything.
It’s hard to believe that my week of dog sitting is almost over. DS#5 and family should be coming home on Saturday. I’ll miss my companions who are good company but it will be good to go back home too.
On the menu for today is:
Grilled Cheese and Tomato Sandwich
Makes 1 serving
Non cooking spray
1 oz. shredded Colby or Cheddar cheese
2 thin slices tomato
2 slices whole wheat bread
Lightly coat an unheated small skillet with cooking spray, place over medium heat. Place cheese and tomato slices between the bread slices and place onto heated skillet, pressing down once or twice while grilling. When one side is toasted, turn sandwich over. Cook until both sides are toasted and cheeses melted. Serve immediately.
It’s going to be close to 90 degrees today and sunny so it’s a good day to have sandwiches for dinner.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday !
Perfection is attained by slow degrees; it requires the hand of time.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
10,450. for time out just to sit and read a good book
10,451. for hammocks that remind us to slow down
10,452. for a beautiful day!
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters and EMT’s.
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Slow down and enjoy life. It’s not only the scenery you miss by going too fast, you also miss the sense of where you are going and why.

A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Please take some time to sit back and relax today. Slow Down!
I am sure I would like dog sitting, if the dog was well behaved. It seems so many folks buy the high dollar dogs and NEVER take time to train them. We see it so many times as we RV'd. I do LOVE dogs..
Now hammocks! we were on a cruse once and puled into an island. Sherry and I had just found a hammock and were enjoying it when everyone was recalled to the ship due to the current. We have thought about that often we had never had the chance to enjoy a hammock. ;-)
Love to you from NC
Cute picture of the dogs. No hammock here either, too hot to be outside:)
I've never even tried sitting/laying in a hammock. Just my luck I wouldn't be able to get back up without falling. Love that pic of your grandson and his fishing pole. Frame worthy!
