ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SUNDAY, JULY 25TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Parents Day which is celebrated on the 4th Sunday of July every year. President Clinton established Parents Day in 1994. According to this resolution this day was established for recognizing, uplifting and supporting the role of parents raising of children.
Celebrate the value and importance of good parenting. Thank your parents for all their unconditional love and support.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
The most important thing parents can teach their children is how to get along without them.
Frank A. Clark
I love being able to be a parent. The times I have had raising my family were some of the most wonderful ones of my life. Not only did I have the opportunity to teach them how to live, they also taught me a lot too.
The gift of all my children was the most wonderful thing to have ever happened to me.
Of course I’m thankful to my parents too, without them where would I be? They gave me life and raised me to be a responsible person..
I thought that the most important thing I could do for them was to teach them how to become responsible adults too and I think I did a good job of that. They are all wonderful adults now with families and homes of their own. Sometimes I think I did too good a job of it because they were sufficiently independent to move away from home, and some are very far away now.I only wish we could all live closer to each other.
It’s Sunday my day to go to church and then come home to relax and rest the rest of the day. It’ll be a quiet day here with nothing special going on.
But then every day is special in some way and today we’re honoring our parents !
I may make a trip to cemetery and put some flowers on their resting places. I didn’t make out there on Memorial Day weekend, so today is a good day to get it done.
It’s supposed to rain today, so hopefully I can dodge the rain drops .Every time I go, I see some robins there and they remind of my mom, she loved them so.
The fist picture today is of me and my parents. I think I was about 2 years old then. The rest are of my children and their families More pics from our family reunion

COUNTING MY GIFTS
One of the greatest titles in the world is parent, and one of the biggest blessings in the world is to have parents to call mom and dad.
Jim DeMint

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Note on the pictures: I couldn't find the one with my parents. 3 of DS#2's children were missing they were unable to attend and DS#3 added a daughter to his family a month after the reunion and sadly DS#1 passed away a little over a year later.
Nothing more precious than family and you are definitely blessed.
Blessed, yes! Your children are a testament to what Good Parenting is all about. I wish I might visit my parent's final resting place -- but Minneapolis isn't so practical. All the same, I'm holding them in my prayer consciousness.
PS - Sorry! I don't know how I missed seeing your cousins post yesterday, but sure enjoyed the pictures. Have yourself a wonderful Sunday afternoon!
I sure do agree with you, nothing better than being a parent! You certainly are blessed.
Oh, I am sorry that I can't see the photo of you with your parents. You have a beautiful family. xx
