ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
WEDNESDAY, JULY 14TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is annual National Holiday in France, It is quite similar to the Independence festivities in the United States.
The Beasstile was a stronghold built in Paris in the 14th century in facet, The world bastile means fortress in French. During his reign, Louis XVI used it as a prison and the structure became a symbol of his power. In 1789, rioters stormed the Bastille and proceeded demolish it. It was an act of rebellion and marked the beginning of the French Revolution.
Traditionally, the French celebrate this day and their indepeance with parties, parades and festivals. To celebrate today you could enjoy a bottle of French wine or order a French Dinner from your favorite restaurant.
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side

I’ve nothing French to show today nor will I be having a French dinner. On the menu is a dish called:
Hot Dogs Run Through the Garden
7 whole wheat hot dog buns
2 quarts of water
7 beef franks, such as Hebrew National
1 cup finely diced onion
1 cup diced tomato
1/2 cup sweet pickle relish
1/3 cup prepared mustard
14 sport peppers
Preheat oven 350 degrees. wrap buns in foil and bake 10 minute s or until thoughly warmed though Remove from oven and keep warm.
Bring water to a simmer in a large saucepan. Add franks, simmer until thoroughly heated . Drain all. Place 1 frank in each heated bun . Top each frank with bout 2 tablespoons onion, about 2 tablespoons tomato, about 1 tsp. relish, and about 2 tsp. of Mustard. Serve with peppers.
Little did I know that a hot dog with everything is called a hot dog run through the garden.

9351. for a nice home to go to when vacation ends
9352. for holidays to celebrate, everyday is special
9353. for new lists and new plans
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Every day is Special!
Your hot dog sounds a lot like what Tom calls a Chicago dog.
We won't be eating any French-inspired foods today, but may have to watch Les Miserables if it's showing on Netflix. That music is so invigorating!
I had no idea a hot dog with everything is called a hot dog run through the garden either! Have you ever tried an Italian hot dog? It's a hot dog (or two) topped with peppers, onions, and potatoes (I use nice crispy tater tots) served on a sub roll. Good stuff.
Your menu for the week sounds delicious as always. Enjoy the rest of your day. :)
