ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
SUNDAY, JULY 11TH, 2021
The moments our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Don’t Step on A Bee Day which calls for us to help protect our precious bees. Not only do our bees provide the honey, propolis and beewax, they also help to keep us all fed and watered. Without the tireless work of bees, over a third of everything we eat would disappear from our tables.
Spread the message, Don’t step on a bee. Support your local beekeeper and enjoy their precious produce for breakfast on some warm buttered toast. Yum!
If you can't see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
...bees are the batteries of orchards, gardens, guard them.
CArel Ann Duffy
I love honey and have it on hand always. It sits on my table ready to be served whenever I want it. It’s something that easily available here locally and it’s always offered in the stores. Bees are so beneficial for spreading pollen as they move from plant to plant collecting it. This helps to pollinate our plants so they will produce fruit and thrive. Honey also has a long list of health benefits due to its antibacterial properties. It has been used as a facial revitalizer and believed to clear the skin and soften wrinkles. It’s not a cure all but can off set some illnesses. It’s been known to soothe sore throats brought on by the common cold.
It’s to be a rainey day again once more so I’ve decided to stay in and keep dry. I’m on vacation so I should be excused from church. I will miss going however, as it always seems to make the week ahead much better.
I haven’t been doing much at all since my vacation started at my daughters. Yesterday I went home for a bit to get a few things at the house that I’d forgotten. I also had to check my mail box to see if anything new had come. It’s usually only junk mail and to water my plants outdoors.
Today I’ll be having another lazy day and have nothing planned but letting the dogs out when they need to go. They are very easy to care for and don’t cause any problems.
They are big babies and need lots of loving though. They are used to that and I’m good at letting them know how loved they are.
I hope you have a RELAXING Sunday!

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.

I hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
I use a teaspoon of honey in my daily fruit smoothies just for the health benefits, but of course it sweetens it up very nicely too. Have a nice relaxing Sunday Ma!
I can't recall the last time I tasted honey -- probably drizzled over a sopapilla in an Arizona mexican food restaurant. The bees' stories are fascinating. I'd never have the courage to try my hand at beekeeping (like our late friend Rick), but appreciate those who do.
