ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SATURDAY, MAY 30TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.
21 DAYS UNTIL SUMMER

Life is a special occasion!!

Today us Water a Flower Day which is a reminder to water your flowers in order to keep them alive.
To celebrate today, water a flower with a watering can, or watering pan. If you don’t own such a thing you can use a bottle or maybe even a pot or a mug. You could also take smaller plants of flowers directly to the sink and water them with tap water.
The only important thing is to take good care of your flowers today and give them some water !
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
We never know the worth water till the well is dry.
Thomas Fuller
I happen to own a watering can and often use it to water my flowers outside. But most of the time I use my hose which has a connection on it that adjusts the water flow. There is a setting that says shower and that is the one I like to use on the flowers. It’s gentle flow of water that reminds me of a rain shower. It seems I have to water them every other day or else, they start drying out and look quite wilted. They let me know when they need water.
Unfortunately I don’t have many house plants at all due to the fact that I’d forget to water them. However they are very good to keep in the house as they do help to clean the air naturally.
I like to keep fresh herbs to cook with but have never had any luck growing them inside on the windowsill. But fortunately it is summer and I can grow them out side right now and they do well in a pot or in the ground as long as you remember to water them.
This is my favorite time of year when we can enjoy flowers once more. I love to see their cheerful colors and always fill my flower boxes and water them.
Flowers must have some sunshine and water to grow just like us. Don’t forget these warmer days to drink plenty of water too. There is no doubt it will do you good !
Today’s pictures are of the flowers I just planted on the carport this spring. Right now I have no herbs, but plan to get some soon.
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday!

Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Don't forget to give yourself a drink on these summer days too. We need water just like the flowers do
Your hanging basket looks so pretty! I don't know if my friend Sandra (aka, Mad Snapper) knew what today is, but this morning she posted about planting wildflower seeds and watering them everyday. Instead of a watering can, she took an old detergent jug and had her hubby drill tiny holes all over the lid. Clever! My Tom's the designated water-er here … and of course Mother Nature. Happy Saturday!
Such pretty flowers Ma. I don't have any plants because I forget to water them. The chef son works for has a garden. He grows a lot of the veggies for the restaurant as well as the herbs. Son shared some of the oregano that he grew. It was great on the recipes we used with it.
