ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR WEDNESDAY, MAY 27TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Sunscreen Day which is celebrated as a clear sign that summer is coming. With the rising intensity of the sun it is important to use sunscreen to protect the skin from dangerous and painful sunburns. Using sunscreen is a good and easy way to do so. It defends the skin from ultraviolet rays and this prevents skin cancer.
There are many different types of sunscreen for different types of skin, application, sun intensity and so on. Use Sunscreen Day to gather some information on which sunscreen is the best for your needs. And don’t forget to use it and enjoy the sun.
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Some people are so much sunshine to the sqare inch.
Walt Whitman
I love the sunshine and do use sunscreen. I like the spray on kind that is good even when you go swimming. Since I have so much shade here around my house, I rarely need it unless I go to the beech or the pool.
So far this week we’ve had plenty of sunshine, it’s been in the 80’s and very summer like but they say we’re going to cool down by the weekend we’ll only be in the 60’s once again. Our normal should be the 70’s this time of year, but we rarely get these normal days. 70 degree weather is near perfect for me. Not to hot and not to cold.
I’m hoping to get out and get the yard work done today while we still have sunshine. I’ll be sure to have my sunglasses and my straw hat on which are also good protection from the sun. The grass has been growing fast . I’ll use the cool weekend as an opportunity to use the oven once again, but meanwhile it’s been salads and sandwiches for me. So not much cooking going on for me.
The pictures today are from our Xfactor’s birthday party. It was a hot day but was cooled off by a sudden downpour. It was so nice to see everyone, especially him. He was so excited as was everyone else. It’d been a long time for most of us to see each other.
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!

Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity. These are but triffles, to be sure; but scattered along life’s pathway , the good they do is inconceivable.
Joseph Addison
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…

Summer sunshine is great, but remember to be safe and put your sunscreen on !
Looked like a fun party Ma! Yep sunscreen is essential when out in the sun. Got to protect our skin!

What a great looking 8 year old! That cake! So happy the weather cooperated and everyone was able to safely socialize.
Always a good idea to keep skin protection at the forefront. I've another blog friend in Florida (Mad Snapper) whose hubby has had a couple challenges with skin cancer; and, in fact, is having another surgery next week.
