ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
FOR SUNDAY, MAY 10TH, 2020
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a special occasion!!

Today is Mothers Day which is our opportunity to celebrate moms, wives, daughters, aunts, grandmothers, sisters, and all the wonderful people who have mothered us over the years. In England and other pars of Europe people have been celebrating Mothering Sunday since the 16th century. Our modern American holiday is relatively recent tradition in comparison. In 1912 a woman named Anna Jarvis from Grafton, West Virginia declared the first Mothers Day in the United States.
Tell all the mom’s in your life how much they mean to you today and show your appreciation!
If you can’t see the bright side, polish the dull side

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Mother is the heartbeat of the home; and without her there seems to be no heart throb.
Leroy Brownlow
I didn’t get any cards sent out for Mother’s Day this year, so please accept this newsletter as a substitute! Happy Mothers Day to all of you! You all are important and so very appreciated.
I wish I could invite you all over for lunch on the porch today, but we have to keep our safe distance so that won’t happen. But soon as it can happen, I want to have one big party to show my appreciation. The mom’s in my life are very valued and appreciated. Especially DD and all my DDIL’s ! After all they are the mothers of my dear sweet grandchildren. I give them lots of credit for all they do. Especially now that everyone is home together constantly. A mother;s work is never done, but now more so than ever. Having to be all things, to our children isn’t easy. But it is the most important job I know of. We teach by our example and they watch everything we do. I think our children are very aware of our moods too and if mama ain’t happy then no one’s happy. At least I found that to be true with my own children. If I was having a bad day, they were always at their worse.
It’s a big job being a mom and I know that everyone of you do the best you can. Once again I say you are very appreciated and loved. Everything you do makes the lives of your family better and I’m proud to say from what I see your children are all doing wonderfully, amidst all the crazy things going on in our world right now. Each one of them knows they are loved and safe at home.
Hard to believe that we had some snow on the ground here yesterday morning, Not much, but you could see it along the edge of the driveway and sound the tree in the yard when I got up yesterday. Today may be just a little warmer but still not as warm as we usually are this time of year. For many years we’ve taken pictures outside the church on Mother’s Day, and that is what the picture is above the others are of DD and my DIL’s who are all such wonderful moms.

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Happy ☺ Mother's 🌹 Day 🌴
What a beautiful tribute to your daughter and DDILs! I really enjoyed seeing these photos, and the last one of your grandson in that hat? Why, I chuckled aloud! I'm guessing he has a personality and a-half? However different, I hope you have a most happy Mother's Day!
