ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Religious Freedom Day which commemorates the Virginia General Assembly’s adoption of Thomas Jefferson’s landmark Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom on January 16th, 1786. This document led to freedom of religion for all Americans as the U.S. Constitution's First Amendment.
Religious Freedom Day is officially proclaimed on January 16th each year by an annual statement by the President and is also celebrated by the First Freedom Center in Richmond, Virginia by an annual First Freedom Award Banquet.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
It is easy to take liberty for granted, when you have never had it taken from you.

I’m always proud to say, I’m an American, but especially on days like to day when we celebrate our freedom to worship as we chose. Not every one has that right and many are still persecuted for their faith. Going to the church of my choice and worshiping as I please is a blessing and I’m thankful for it.
Today is my day to get out and about. The temps will be at a high of 34 degrees which is some warmer than others we’ve had lately. Tomorrow is to bring a mixture of rain and snow our way. And they say a storm is headed our way for the weekend too. We’ll see…
It has been far too cold for any of the snow we’ve had to melt and these frosty mornings have left roads on the slippery side too. I’ve seen accident reports on the news most every morning. So be safe and take care everyone!
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
PRAYER REQUEST
One of my nieces has asked for prayers for a friend. Her friend is having to see an OBGYN/Oncologist for the results of some recent testing that she had to have. They found a large mass and praying that it is benign and can be removed easily.
May the dear Lord bless this friend with a successful surgery and healing to restore her to good health. May she be comforted too, as this is a huge worry, knowing that she is the best care possible. We pray all things in the name, of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Sprit. Amen.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Freedom is such a gift.

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

6707. for prayer, it always works
6708. for a slightly warmer day
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Celebrate our freedoms.
How I LOVE that last slide … exuberance defined!
Yes, we're so blessed to have the opportunity to worship wherever and whenever we please. I'm holding your niece's friend in my prayers - not only for good results, but to ease her heart and mind. Stay safe while you're out and about!
Saying a prayer for your niece's friend. You do be careful out there, Ma, with those slippery roads and hopefully not slippery sidewalks! So glad we do have the freedom to worship freely in this country. That truly is a blessing!
betty
Amen and Amen.
