ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Bubble Bath Day which is the perfect opportunity to get out your favorite rubber duck, novel, candles and bubbles and relax. The foaming bubbles insulate the surface of your bath, giving longer to soak in the hot water. The steaming air makes breathing easier, and the scented soaps rewards you for breathing deep. Relaxation is crucial for letting stress leave your body and you’ll feel great for giving yourself the care that you deserve.
A lot of us have trouble giving ourselves permission to indulge in things like bauble baths. Showers are much quicker, but not as relaxing as a bubble bath. Everyone deserves a little me time every now and then. A hot bubble bath will relax your muscles, refresh your skin, and help with any congestion you might have.
If you have never have a bubble bath before, this is definitely a holiday you should try out.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
There is nothing like a bubble bath to sooth and relax you. I take them often. I don’t usually read a book in the bath or even light candles, but they surely do make me feel good. If you catch a chill, a nice hot bubble bath will quickly warm you up. They can both warm and refresh and relieve sore muscles too.
I’m making headway on my Christmas clean up, but still am not done. I’m trying to clean as I put things away, and also organize a few things too. Today I’m going to try and focus on the kitchen. With all the extra cooking and baking for the holidays, the cabinets need a good wiping down.
When I have busy days like today, it’s always a good time to get the crock pot out and for tonight's dinner I’m making this warm and hearty dish.
Slow Cooker Beans and Wieners
serves 8
1 lb. hot dogs, each cut into 4 pieces
3 cans pork and beans in tomato sauce
1/4 c. ketchup
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 c. molasses
2 tsp. dry mustard
dash of Worcestershire sauce
Spray slow cooker with cooking spray. Mix all ingredients in cooker. Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours.
Hearty whole grain bread and sliced crisp apples complement the flavors of this dish.
Today is our last day of warmer weather, tomorrow we return to temps in the 30’s and it looks like it will stay that way for the rest of the week too. BrrChill! So before it gets colder, I’ll try to get the bins back into the outdoor storage unit. The rest is stored inside so that can wait for another day.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There must be quite a few things that a hot at the won’t cure, but I don’t know many of them.
Sylvia Plath
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6682. for bubble baths, always good
6683. for crock pot meals on busy days
6684. for lots to do which keeps me out of trouble
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY

It's pouring rain this morning here, a good day to get the housework done.
That's an interesting recipe for the crock pot. I wouldn't have thought of cooking hot dogs in it. Sounds yummy though.
Haven't take a bubble bath in years but the kids sure enjoyed them growing up. I was thinking of getting some bubble bath for the wee one when I'm watching him and give him a bath. I bet he would enjoy those since he enjoys blowing bubbles with bubble soap.
betty
Gosh, I've not taken a bubble bath in decades! For a while, I tried adding baby oil to my bathwater; it made my skin feel wonderful ... but the tub became so slick I risked life and limb any time I went to take a shower.
The last couple days have been glorious, but our temps are supposed to take another nose-dive tomorrow. Bring on the crock-pot!
Oh yes, a hot bath, I must do that soon. Thanks for the reminder.
