ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Inspire your Heart with Art day which encourages people to have a close and peaceful look at a piece of art and take time to to find out how a painting or a song touches you and widens your horizon. No natter if you are into music, paintings, theatre, sculptures, dance or poetry, get inspired by any of these. Art has the power to ease the mind, to catch attention on a certain topic or to motivate people.
Today is also Hot Chocolate Day!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Someone one asked me…whether I waited for inspiration. My answer was: Every day!
Aaron Copeland
There are so many different kinds of art, there is sure to be something that will catch our eye today. Of the many things that inspire me I have to say, that my morning devotions probably do it best. God is the master artist and the words of inspiration brighten up every day. He makes everyday beautiful in His own way. So I can truthfully say I let every day be inspired by art. Just taking a look out of the window is a wonderful sight. Another day has arrived.
I will certainly be enjoying a cup or hot chocolate today too. It is warming and delicious and our weather remains very cold. We might see a high of 8 degrees today which is much better than yesterday when we remained below zero. We are to see some sunshine too. I try not to talk about the weather so much, but this is beyond our normal winter days for sure.
If you’ve never made your own hot chocolate before here’s a recipe you might like to try.
Rich and Creamy Hot Chocolate
1 c.semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/8 tsp salt
5 1/2 c. milk
2 c. Half and Half creamer
2 tsp. vanilla
Whipped Cream topping if desired.
Melt chocolate chips, stirring constantly in a sauce pan over low heat. Stir in sugar, water and salt. Increase heat to medium. Cook, whisking constantly until mixture comes to a boil. Continue cooking 2 minutes stirring constantly.
Add milk and half and half and cook until heated through. Do not boil. Add vanilla. Remove from heat and whisk until frothy.Pour into mugs and serve with whipped cream. Makes 8 servings.
The pictures today are of a trip I made to the Cleveland Museum of Art with DS#6 and his family on a January day a few years ago.
I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Love is all we really need, but a little chocolate now and then helps...
I do enjoy looking at various pieces of art whether they be a painting or something sculpted or something made out of clay. There is a lot of beauty out there indeed! Hot chocolate is a great way to warm up on a cold day and its always fun to watch the marshmallows melt in the hot liquid.

I love to be outside and to see nature, the art of God.
I enjoyed reading friends' definitions of "what is art?" in a recent meme. But yours is sure spot-on - no artist can begin to compete with what God provides us every day. Returning from the airport this morning I was treated to the most spectacular sunrise!
Gosh, that cup of warm chocolate goodness looks so yummy!
