ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Ditch New Years Resolutions Day which is a day to break or give up on these resolutions you made two weeks ago on New Year’s Day. But think about it: is it easier to slip back into old habits, or is it better to hold on to your New Year’s resolutions. It all depends on what we want. It could be the day to hit the reset button
If you have not broken or given up on your resolutions. you are doing better than most. For many, they have become a burden and perhaps not a good idea anyway. We should be satisfied with who we are and if we aren’t, we need to change it for that reason, and not because a new calendar has flipped over. We can make realistic lifestyle changes for a reason, not just because another year has passed
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
There are two ways of spreading light; to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.
Edith Wharton
Instead of making resolutions, I’ve starting choosing one word each year to help me focus on my goals . This year I chose the word LIGHT. I want to greet each new day with enthusiasm and lighten up, and perhaps lighten the load for others too. I hope to brighten up the lives of others. To let my light shine.
I am very much a goal oriented person. I try to keep them reasonable and something that I can achieve. Having a goal to reach keeps you motivated. I usually have a daily goal in mind that keeps me focused on what I want to do. Monday I cleaned the mirrors, Tuesday I cleaned the window blinds. Wednesday I got the shopping and errands done. Today I hope to get the vacuuming done. It’s not part of my Spring cleaning, but is needed.
They say that the winter storm that is to come our way for the weekend now has a name. Harper is to bring some snow our way and the weather reports are saying it could mean as much as 6 inches of snow around here. We’ll see…
In the right light, at the right time, everything is extra ordinary.

I hope you all have a GREAT day. Happy Thursday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
May the blessing of light be on you, light without and light within.
Irish Blessing
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6709. for light, it makes the world a bright place
6710. for goals to reach
6711. for words that guide us
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
The Sun will raise and set regardless. What we choose to do with the light while it’s here is up to us. Journey wisely.
Alexandra Elle
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Be a light in the darkness!
To accompany my walk yesterday I put an old (church) cassette in my Walkman. Pastor was saying if we had a powerful enough microscope, we'd discover everything, all 'matter' is light-centered. Pretty neat, no?
I've not made New Years resolutions for years now; instead, I'm trying to reconcile my love for good food with my present slacks' size. Baby steps!
Its funny how they name storms these days. Harper is a cute name though! I hope you don't get all the snow predicted. Goals are far more better to work on than resolutions. I'm still working on my goals for 2019, but hoping to be as successful as the ones in 2018 :)
