ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is National Winnie the Pooh Day which celebrates everyone’s favorite lovable bear. Winnie is more that just your average bear, he is one of Disney’s most popular characters of all time. We adore him for his caring attitude and his adventurous ways .
Winnie the Pooh is a warm friend to all animals dwelling in the Hundred Acre Wood, including Piglet, Eeyore, and Kanga, though his closest confidant is Christer Robin. Christopher Robin was the real name of A.A. Milne’s son . A.A. Milne was the original author of The Winnie the Pooh Series and Winnie the Pooh Day was created to celebrate his birthday in 1882.
Today is also Thesaurus Day, and Peking Duck Day

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Some people care too much. I think it’s called love.
A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh
It would be great if we all had a friend like Winnie the Pooh bear. If you haven’t read the story, it is a rich and rewarding tale. Many wise words have come from the stories about this silly old bear. The story teaches us it’s ok to be different. In the end no one can replace you, and there is nothing quite like spending time with friends.
Since I don’t have any pictures of Winnie the Pooh to share, I thought I post some of one of my grandson’s having fun in the snow this past weekend.
Today is Friday and I’m going to end the week on a positive note by putting out a few of my Valentine Decorations. It’s time for me to put away the snowmen and get out something more colorful and cheering. All this cold and snow and staying indoors can get depressing, and it’s time to make my own sunshine! Though it is not yet February, hearts and flowers is my way to do it.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
COUNTING MY GIFTS
People say nothing is impossible, but I do nothing every day.
A.A.Milne, Winnie the Pooh
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
6712. for stories that teach us a lot of good things
6713. for friends, they make life richer
6714. for sunshine, it is there even when we cannot see it
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Nobody can be uncheered with a ballon.
A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

It's cold and snowy out here with lots more coming our way. But we get to make our own sunshine every day!
Those are all cute pictures of your grandson enjoying the snow! They sure do like playing in it! Good idea to put up Valentine decorations. February is just around the corner! I do like Winnie the Pooh. He is so cute and funny with his antics at times when he is trying to get his honey.
betty
I can't imagine anyone not loving Winnie the Pooh and his pals.
It's a great time to start decorating for Valentine's Day! A splash of red can brighten any day, especially if you're snowbound.
What a cutie! … and those missing teeth! :)))
We've no snow, but neither have I seen the sun shine in several days. Tom's really struggling with this gray-on-gray weather. While I can't change the outdoors, perhaps I should visit the Dollar Store and add some bright colors to our little home.
