ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is It's My Party Day is today. Let's have a party and celebrate. You don't have to have a reason to celebrate at all, just do it for the fun of it.
Life is too short. Today is It's My Party Day. So, let's party on into the night!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Life is a Party! Life isn't always perfect, but it is what we make it. So, we may as well try and make it a party!
Every day we wake up is a day to celebrate and I believe we are meant to enjoy life to the fullest and to be thankful for it. Every day may not be a good one, but there is something good about every day if we take the time to look for it. I know for a fact that that there are hundreds of reasons to celebrate life every day.
Life is a party and that fact that we have so much to live for, appreciate and share is reason enough Celebrate the fact that you are alive. Take a few moments every morning to simply enjoy a few minutes over a cup of coffee or tea and breathe in the aroma, feel the warmth, and enjoy the comfort. Give thanks for the day that is coming your way. When you begin your day with a sense of gratitude and celebration, you are bound to have more joy for the rest of the day.
Try to recognize the extraordinary in the ordinary days, no matter how extra ordinary those things are. Those things are what make our lives unique and special, and worth living. Maybe we're not going to a concert or on a cruise, or opening presents on Christmas morning. But hey, we're alive, and that's a gift in itself.
Todays pictures are a mix match of some shared by family. I’m thankful they send them my way so I feel like I’m a part of their celebrations even though I’m really not.
Celebrate every day like it's something special. Because it is!
I hope you all have a WONDERFUL Wednesday!
Continuing the family tradition of making Apple Butter
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Sausage Pizza Day
This food holiday is a favorite of pizza lovers across the country. I love to make Impossible Pies with Bisquick baking mix and I found one to make a sausage pizza too.
IMPOSSIBLE PIZZA PIE
1 lb. bulk Italian sausage
1/4 c. chopped onion
1/2 c. chopped pepper
1/2 tsp. dried basil leaves
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1 c. shredded Mozzarella cheese
1/2 c. Parmesan cheese
1 (8 oz.) can stewed tomatoes, drained and chopped
1/2 tsp. dried oregano leaves
3 eggs
1 c. Bisquick
Heat oven to 400 degrees. Grease a 10 inch pie pan. Cook and stir sausage until brown; drain. Sprinkle sausage and Parmesan, onion, tomatoes, pepper, basil, oregano, and salt in the pan. Beat eggs, milk, and baking mix until smooth, 15 seconds in blender on high. Pour into pan. Sprinkle Mozzarella cheese over top. Bake until a knife inserted in center comes out clean, 30-35 minutes. Cool 5 minutes.
Makes 6-8 servings.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
The grace of God means something like: Here is your life. You might never have been, but you are because the party wouldn't have been complete without you.
Frederick Buechner
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5335. for something to celebrate every day
5336. for another day of life
5337. for pizza, good to serve at parties
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we're here we should dance.

Oh, how I love every word of this post! You do have a way of getting to the heart of the matter. Life is a celebration and you described it perfectly! I’m going back to print out the essay part about the party and staple it in my Country Diary. I hope you know what a blessing you are to so many! Thank you......
I loved the song "It's my Party and I'll Cry if I want To" I should celebrate something today!!
Dang, but Paula just stole my line! (*smile*! I loved Lesley Gore.)
"Every day we wake up is a day to celebrate." You betcha. Silly perhaps, but my chest was feeling really heavy and I was feeling 'off' most of yesterday -- so this morning when I opened my eyes ... yes!
God be with the firefighters fighting all those fires in California!
Celebrate and be grateful for everything!
You are right Pam, there is something to celebrate in every day. I try to find the silver lining no matter what. I think we in the West have much to be grateful for, even if its not always easy! Your family photos today are real smile makers. You are a treasure Pam. Love you to bits! xoxo
