ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to our Sweetheart today !
Happy Birthday ♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ Happy Birthday ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ Happy Birthday to you♥ ♥ ♥
May the dear Lord bless you today and always!
Today is also Virus Appreciation Day, which give us an opportunity to show a little respect for nasty viruses. Human, animal and computer viruses readily come to mind. We sure can appreciate the seriousness and significance of both human and computer viruses
Dedicate today to appreciating that viruses can be very serious, if not deadly. Let's then take measures to protect ourselves, our loved ones, and even our computers. to minimize the risk of serious viruses.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Smiling is contagious,
you catch it like the flu,
When someone smiled at
me today, I started smiling too.
I passed around the corner,
and someone saw my grin -
When he smiled I
realized, I'd passed it on to him.
I thought about that smile,
then I realized its worth,
A single smile, just like mine,
could travel round the earth.
So, if you feel a smile begin,
don't leave it undetected -
Let's start an epidemic quick
and get the world infected ! ! !

It’s another of my grandchildren’s birthdays and like many, our Sweetheart’s, is a long distance one. The card went out in the mail as usual to wish her the happiest of birthdays ever! Her smile is definitely infectious and you know she means it when you see it!
I guess today would be a good reminder to get our flu shots. I know I’ve seen ads everywhere saying that you can get your flu shot here… So far I’ve not gotten mine but I usually do. They say flu is especially hard on older people and the younger ones too.
It would be wonderful if we could infect the world with SMILES. I try to do my best one smile at a time. Smiles are a wonderful way to show we care. I know they certainly make me feel better. Smiles are one virus I like to spread!…:.)
I know some who’ve gotten terrible viruses on their computers, including me. The only way I got rid of mine was to get a new hard drive installed. DS#2 and #4 took care of that last fall and they also installed virus protection on my computer.
Viruses sometimes come in emails so we have to be very careful about what we read. If something looks suspicious or you don’t know the sender, the best advice I can give is to not open it. And remember never to give your person information to someone over the phone or on the internet.
Sunshine is also something that brightens my day and it’s looking like we’re going to have plenty of that coming our way today. I know that the warm and healing rays of sunshine will soon be gone and there will be many gray sky’s headed our way, so today I’m going to get outside and enjoy them.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
Today is National Caramel Custard Day! Caramel Custard is a rich, flavorful dessert that originated in Europe. The Ancient Romans experimented with the binding properties of eggs in their cooking, but custard as we know it didn’t emerge until the Middle Ages.
There are many variations of the classic custard dessert. These include vanilla, lemon, and caramel. To celebrate National Caramel Custard Day, try your hand at making your own caramel and pour it over custard for a scrumptious treat!
Custard pies have always been a favorite of mine but I’ve never tried to make caramel custard before so I look for and found this recipe to try out soon.
CARAMEL CUSTARD PIE
2 1/2 c. scalded milk
3/4 c. sugar
4 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. vanilla
In unbaked pie shell, place a mixture of brown sugar and flour; dot with butter, enough to cover bottom of pie shell about 1/8 inch thick. Pour above mixture over brown sugar mixture. Bake 20 minutes on bottom shelf at 450 degrees; reduce heat to 400 degrees and bake 10 more minutes or until pie is golden brown on top.
COUNTING MY GIFTS

Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
There are few things that are more beautifully infectious than true kindness. It spreads like a magnificent wildfire.

Happiest birthday blessings to your sweetheart!
Given that we're travelling to Alabama next month, I think I'd better stop by Walgreens and get my flu shot. Thanks for the reminder!
