ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
Today is Face your Fears day which is a good tome to take a moment to consider what your life might be like if you conquered some of your greatest fears. Many people are held captive by their fears, this day is to encourage people to discover more about themselves, and the ways to overcome their fears, taking control. and to seize the day.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Faith is not without worry or care, but faith is fear that has said a prayer.
Author Unknown
There isn’t much that I do fear. I’ve got a strong faith and believe that whatever happens in my life is in God’s hands. That is not to say I don’t get concerned at all when things go awry, but know that with the good Lord's help all will be well in the end. All that I can do is pray and pray some more and trust that God’s will be done.
We go through a beautiful park area on the way to the hospital to visit with my sister and that is what the pictures are of today. It was misting rain when we went in but the sun was shining on the way home.
Today I’m going to get some things done here home. It’s to be mid 70’s and partly cloudy which is very exception weather for us in October.
I hope you all have a TERRIFIC Tuesday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Angel Food Cake Day
Angel food cake is a sponge cake. It can be simple, or fancy. Angel food cake requires that the egg whites be whipped until they are stiff, and gently folded into the other ingredients. For this method of leavening to work well, it is useful to have flour that has been made of softer wheat. This, and the lack of fat, causes angel food cake to have a very light texture and taste. Angel food cake should be cut with a serrated knife, as a solid blade tends to compress the cake rather than slice it.
Angel food cake is usually baked in a tube pan, a tall, round pan with a tube up the center that leaves a hole in the middle of the cake. A bundt pa" can also be used, but the fluted sides can make releasing the cake more difficult. The center tube allows the cake batter to rise higher by clinging to all sides of the pan

You can glaze this cake if you like or enjoy it without.

COUNTING MY GIFTS
Feed your fears and your faith will starve. Feed your faith, and your fears will.
Max Lucado
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5332. for faith to trust and not fear
5333. for cake, a part of any celebration
5334. for golden leaves which brighten a rainy day
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU!
ADVICE FOR TODAY
While we are focusing on fear, worry, or hate, it is not possible for us to be experiencing happiness, enthusiasm or love.
Bo Bennett
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

Pretty park! I like that quote from Max Lucado. Good to face one's fears. I have a few I always need to face.

What lovely autumn imagery!
About the only thing I still fear is air travel, and was heartened by your philosophy. Once they close that cabin door, there's little I can do about it anyway. LOL!
