ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Nine tenths of wisdom is appreciation. Go find somebody's hand and squeeze it... while there is still time.
Dale Dauten
As usual I’ll be off to church here today and I am very thankful for our Pastor. I’ve been going to the same church for over 50 years now and our church has had several different pastors in that time. It seems their job is never ending. Sunday services are just a small part of what they do. From weddings to funerals, visiting the sick and the elderly, every day is a busy one.
It’s always a great idea to let people in our lives know how much they are appreciated. Saying thank you is such an easy thing to do. Not only clergy, but others we come into contact with that provide services we use daily or even once a week.
Yesterday started off like a normal Saturday for me and then I got a call that my youngest sister was taken to the hospital. So I got ready to go there and thankfully one of my nieces and her husband that were also going, gave me a ride. They are not sure yet what happened, but my sister is in ICU and undergoing tests to see what the problem is. Hopefully they will know more today. Please join me in praying for my sister and the doctors caring for her.
I hope you all have a RELAXING Sunday!
It’s Boy Scout Popcorn time !
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It's National Fluffernutter Day! A Fluffernutter is a yummy sandwich made with bread, peanut butter, and marshmallow fluff. It is now a classic American treat enjoyed in school cafeterias, college dorms, and local diners nationwide.
In 1917, Archibald Query of Somerville, Massachusetts created the special formula for the marshmallow fluff we know and love today. The city of Somerville celebrates with the famous What the Fluff festival every year!

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Will say a prayer for your sister, Ma. I do appreciate all the variety of pastors I have known over the years.

Praying! I do hope you've better news from the hospital this afternoon.
We've not a regular clergyman; but this is a fine idea to recognize the men (and women) who lend encouragement. Let's see, my uncle Luther was a pastor, as was his father, both grandfathers, a great-grandfather and a great-great. I lose track after that.... lol.
