ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Today is Universal Music Day which sets aside one day a year to encourage and inspire people everywhere to claim, reclaim or rejoice in one's ability to sing and make music. It has been observed the second Saturday of October since 2007 and is a day devoted to cheerfulness and fun.
Music is a big a part of our cultures, communities, and every day existence. Music surpasses all other means of teaching Listening and Communication Skills! Music is the highest expression of the human spirit, plus it feels good when you do it! Take time every day to sing or play an instrument, or listen to music! You’ll be glad you did!

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
For heights and depths no words can reach, music is the soul's own speech.

It seems that there are as many different kinds of music as there are people. It’ something everyone enjoys. Music is an important part of our lives and has many benefits.
Research shows that listening to music improves our mental well being and boosts our physical health in surprising and astonishing ways. If we take a music lesson or two, that musical training can help raise our IQs and even keep us sharp in old age.
To stay calm and healthy during a stressful day, turn on the radio. Be sure to sing along and tap your feet to the beat to get the maximum healing benefit.
I took a few pictures yesterday of the view from my window and that is what is in my post today. There are some very colorful trees and some still pretty much all green. I’m blessed to have the perfect view to see them.
Today is supposed to be our best day of the week weather wise. Temps in the upper 70’s and sunshine. We won’t get many more days like this one so enjoy it as much as you can!
I hope you all have a SUPER Saturday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN

COUNTING MY GIFTS
Music is well said to be the speech of angels; in fact, nothing among the utterances allowed to man is felt to be so divine. It brings us near to the Infinite.
Thomas Carlyle
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

You do have pretty views from your home, Ma! Music indeed can be so soothing!

Love the views from your windows! I have music playing here at home all day long. Mostly classical. It’s funny but when we go to the ranch I have no music whatsoever other than Louis Dean playing and singing. I don’t miss music there. Guess it’s because I have the chickens and roosters and country sounds and even at night the coyotes are howling!
Wishing you a lovely Saturday and a blessed Sunday!
Lordy, what would we be without music. Anytime he's feeling stressed or low, my DH retreats to the keyboards in his music room. (... and yes, even when he's happy.)
