ON THE BRIGHT SIDE
The moments of our lives may be bright with possibility, dark with fear or sadness, or even plain everyday gray, but God's glory never fades. May God's glory shine into the exciting lights, upsetting darks, and boring grays of your every day.

Happy Birthday to our Southern Belle today!
Happy Birthday ♥ ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ Happy Birthday ¸¸.•*¨*•♫♪ Happy Birthday to you♥ ♥ ♥
May the dear Lord Bless you today and always !
It’s also World Smile Day which celebrates the ever popular yellow smiley face.. It offers us an opportunity to do an act of kindness or to make one person SMILE today.
Sometimes all it takes to make the day better is a smile, whether it’s one someone gives to you, or one you share with another. Little acts of kindness can bring a shining smile to someone who has otherwise had a terrible day, and it can change everything that follows.
Everyone can make a difference on World Smile Day, just by being caring and compassionate and helping those around them have the best day they can have.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
A smile costs nothing but gives much. It enriches those who receive without making poorer those who give. It takes but a moment, but the memory of it sometimes lasts forever. None is so rich or mighty that he cannot get along without it and none is so poor that he cannot be made rich by it. Yet a smile cannot be bought, begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is something that is of no value to anyone until it is given away. Some people are too tired to give you a smile. Give them one of yours, as none needs a smile so much as he who has no more to give.

This granddaughter’s birthday is another long distance celebration. I have more of those than not. A card was sent out in the mail as usual filled with wishes for a happy birthday, lots of smiles and love for her.
Smiles certainly brighten my day and thanks to my family, I get plenty of those. They may not all live close by but make sure I get plenty of pictures. My grands seem to be growing up in leaps and bounds and our Southern Belle is turning into a beautiful young lady.
This week has been a busy one here at my house and it’s hard to believe Friday is here once more. The coming weekend looks to be a quiet one here at my house. The weather continues to be much warmer than normal for a few more days and then we’ll cool back some.
Don’t forget to smile and give thanks for all that is good in your life.
I hope you all have a FANTASTIC Friday!
WHAT’S NEW IN THE KITCHEN
There is a food holiday to celebrate every day of the year!
It’s National Noodle Day which celebrates the foundation of comfort food. The steam rising from a bowl of noodle soup is a thing of magic, with rich aromas and the promise of a deliciously warmed belly.
I love homemade noodle soup and when the cold weather comes I make it often. Noodles are also good in all sorts of casseroles like tuna and noodles. DDIL #4 made her own noodles for dinner last Thanksgiving and that is what is shown in the picture above today.
I found a new recipe to try out soon using noodles and it looks pretty good too.
Sometimes simple is the best, and this simple recipe gives you tender and delicious meat and a flavorful sauce. Plus, you can enjoy the day while the slow cooker does the work for you.
Slow Cooker Beef and Noodles
1 pound beef for stew meat cut into one inch pieces
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 can condensed French onion soup
8 ounces noodles cooked and drained
Place the beef into a 3 1/2 quart slow cooker. Stir the soups in a small bowl. Pour the soup mixture over the beef.
Cover and cook on LOW for 8 to 9 hours or until the beef is fork tender. Serve the beef mixture over the noodles.
Makes 4 servings

Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is truly is always something to be thankful for.
5320. for our Southern Belle, it’s her birthday today
5321. for noodles, so many ways to fix them
5322. for smiles, always appreciated
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Almighty and eternal God,
Protect our military
as they discharge their duties
with the shield of your strength,
may the power of your love
enable them to return home in safety
that with all who love them
they may ever praise you for your loving care.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT’s
We ask this through Christ our Lord.
Amen
GOD BLESS YOU ALL!

Smiling as I read this post!
Happy Birthday to your Southern Belle!
And Noodle Day, it reminds me, I once had a co worker that when you did something wrong, she would say, "20 lashes with a wet noodle." It always made me laugh and made me feel better. Wish I had more co workers like that in my life!
Happy birthday to your Southern Belle!
I saw this quote on another blogger friend's page and thought you might like it, too:
"Everyone has a story they don't read out loud. It doesn't matter who hurt you or who broke you down, what matters is who made you smile again."
Happy Smile Day!
Your granddaughter is so pretty Pam! I can see you in her. Happy Birthday to her! I adore noodles. Any which way. They are a real favourite. Your Beef and noodles sounds very delicious. Bookmarking it for a later date! Love all that you share Pam. You are a wonder! God bless and happy weekend! xoxo
