Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
January 22nd is Celebration of Life Day. Its the perfect day take a step back and truly appreciate our children and grandchildren. Granted, some may do this on an everyday basis, but it’s an opportunity to look at our young ones’ lives from a different angle, think about what it is that makes them truly special.
It can be easy to forget that our children and grandchildren are people in their own right. You’ve helped them to discover themselves over the years, but you can’t take all the credit. Their life choices are ultimately down to them; sometimes they’ll do you proud, and other times, as is the case with us all, they’ll make mistakes. So be the one who’s there to offer congratulations, or encouragement to pick themselves up when they fall. And above all else, show that you love them.
Each child and each life is to be held as a precious gift and should be treated with the highest respect and dignity.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
People who have a lot of money and no time we call 'rich'. People who have time but no money we call 'poor'. Yet the most precious gifts--love, friendship, time with loved ones--grow only in the sweet soil of unproductive time.

My children and my grandchildren are very loved and I’m so thankful for them. Most of what I do in life revolves around them. They are the main reason I started writing On The Bright Side many years ago. Having family scattered all over, I needed a way to keep in touch with all of them.
Life goes by so quickly and it’s easy to loose touch if we don’t make the effort to keep each other in the loop and share what happens. What happens here at my house isn’t always very interesting at all, but at least I’m trying to keep close to those I love.
Staying in touch with family and friends doesn’t have to be a chore. Thanks to the Internet, even though the distance between you may be huge it doesn’t have to feel like it.
A lot of time we know we appreciate the people in our lives and the reasons for it, but unless we show them they won’t know. People are not mind readers. Our relationships with others are what enrich our lives. Take time to show the people who make your life better how much you appreciate them and how much they matter.
I hope you all know how much I do appreciate being able to keep in touch with each and every one of you. You are special to me.
I’ll leave you with this Prayer for Life today.
Eternal Father, Source of life
Open our hearts to see and desire
the the beauty of your plan for life and love.
Fill us with your Holy Spirit
so that our love will be generous and self giving
and we may be blessed with joy
Grant us get trust in your mercy
Forgive us for not receiving your gift of life
and heal us from the effects of the culture of death.
Instill in us and all people
a sense of sacredness of every human life.
Inspire our efforts
to protect and care for the most vulnerable
especially women who are pregnant
and their unborn children,
the sick and the elderly.
Strengthen us in the hope
that with you nothing is impossible
We ask this in the name of Jesus,
who by his Cross make all things new.
Amen
I hope you all have a great day! Happy Thursday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
There cannot be a sense of abundance or the experience of prosperity
without appreciation. You cannot find beauty unless you appreciate beauty.
You cannot find friendship unless you appreciate others. You cannot find
love unless you appreciate loving and being loved.
If you wish abundance, appreciate life.
William R. Miller
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2423. for my faith, family and friends, the important things in my life
2424. for a computer, a way to keep in touch
2425. for my camera, I have pictures to share
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!

your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.

So true, Ma, how important it is to stay in touch with those we love, especially our families. That's why I think I stay on Facebook because its one of the ways my family uses to stay in touch with each other :)
Happy Thursday to you too! This month is quickly coming to an end!
