Life is a Special Occasion!

Today is Bird Day. The health of the global bird population is a reflection of and early warning system for our wider ecological health, and current research indicates that up to 12% of all species of birds may be at risk of becoming extinct in the next century. Bird Day aims to raise awareness of the plights faced by common and rare birds.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Be as a bird perched on a frail branch that she feels bending beneath her, still she sings away all the same, knowing she has wings.
Victor Hugo
One of my favorite activities here at my house is bird watching. They can provide hours of entertainment most anytime of year. One of the birds we often see right now is the Snow Bird.
Snow is in our forecast this week! We haven’t had much at all and that’s been ok with me. It’ll be colder too. This past weekend brought temps in the 40’s now we’ll be going back in the teens and 20’s for a high.
As many go back to work and school remember to bundle up!
I hope you all have a great start to this new week. Happy Monday !
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Birds sing after a storm; why shouldn't people feel as free to delight in whatever remains to them?
Rose Kennedy
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2372. for the many varieties of birds to watch right in my backyard.
2373. for a warm house, a place to hibernate in the cold
2374. for my little brown bird that reminds me that I’m always in God’s care
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
God gives every bird his worm, but He does not throw it into the nest.
P.D. James
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,

We have seen some interesting birds here so far, geese and a falcon, and I think an eagle. I always enjoy bird watching and I think we'll be setting up a bird feeder soon. I think we sent the cold weather your way, Ma, but I am glad up until now it hasn't been too harsh of a winter for you all.
