Today is Ditch Your New Years Resolutions Day. If you haven't accomplished, broken, or given up your New Year's resolutions, today is your chance to get out from under them.
As any expert will tell you, it takes at least three weeks to form a habit, but only three days to break it. 2015 is not yet three weeks old, so how could you possibly be dedicated to those resolutions yet?
If you did accomplish some of the items on your list, congratulations!
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Where there is a will there is a way. is an old true saying. He who resolves upon doing a thing, by that very resolution often scales the barriers to it, and secures its achievement. To think we are able, is almost to be so -- to determine upon attainment is frequently attainment itself.
Samuel Smiles
I didn’t really make any new resolutions, so I can’t really toss them out the window. My resolve has been an on going attempt to clear the clutter. I’ve done a pretty good job of clearing out the clutter that sometimes builds up in my mind, but the reduction of the clutter in the house is not going well. It’s not that I’m not doing anything, it’s just a slow process. Taking one step at a time, the best I can commit to is to take one action every day on each and start moving forward.
Today we are thawing out a bit as we’ll warm up to almost 40 degrees. When you’ve been very cold you do appreciate the warmth for sure.!
I hope you all have a super Saturday !
The Chance for Change
The New Year brings the chance for change.
All of the things we can rearrange.
We start off fresh and eyes aglow.
We can make a new start is what we know.
We'll lose the weight, we say at last.
Trying to forget we've said that in the past.
I'll save some money is the new resolve
Anyone know what I'm speaking of?
More time with the kids, less time with TV.
This year I'm really going to work on me.
I'll tighten it up and get it in shape
My what a difference this year will make.
It's not really the resolution
That's not at all the real solution
It's not even the coming year
That will help you cut down on your beer.
The secret does not lie in January
The day of the year is not your adversary
The season does not make you pass or fail
You could do it in June just as well.
How many New Year's resolutions do we keep?
Most don't survive the second week.
If you want to succeed at whatever you say
You must make up your mind no matter what the day.
New Year or not, set your resolve
Show the world what you're made of
Set your goals and start them now
Get to pushing, get behind the plow.
You may not succeed at all the first time
You may fall off the wagon and get behind
The key is to try again, and try it soon
Whether it's January or whether it's June.
The chance for change is always there
As long as we're breathing God's precious air
Little is really out of your range
Just don't miss the chance, the chance for change.

COUNTING MY GIFTS
Precious beyond price are good resolutions. Valuable beyond price are good feelings.
H. R. Haweis
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2408. for on going resolutions, they do motivate me to keep on trying
2409. for a reason to make one of my favorites, potato salad
2410. for a warmer day !

PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVISE FOR TODAY
Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed is more important than any one thing.

Breathing God's precious air, we always have a chance for change.
I love that!
Have a wonderful Saturday!
Just two more months, I am watching your count down to spring. Love the dragon story
This first sentence (Ditch your Resolutions ...) made me laugh out loud!
I don't make them anymore, either -- but was surprise, and a little relieved to see it takes 3 weeks to make a habit. All this time I thought the saying was 3 days, and can't tell you the times I came up disappointed my intentions didn't 'take.'
I too didn't make any New Year resolutions, other than trying to eat healthier which I think I've been doing. It is hard to keep motivated with clutter, but it is worth the effort afterwards :)

As usual loved all the quotes and photos to go with them Pam. I have never made resolutions. Well maybe when I was younger I did. Now that I am old I am wise and I never make promises to myself I know I have no hope in hell of keeping! lol Have a fabulous Sunday. May it be truly blessed. xoxo
