Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
January 18th is Winnie the Pooh Day. Today is an opportunity to enjoy your favorite bear and all of his friends. It’s one special anniversary fans just can’t bear to miss! This day was created to celebrate the birth of A.A, Milne in 1882. He was an author of children's story books, and created Winnie the Pooh and his friends. Winnie's pals include Christopher Robin, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, and Roo.

THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Childhood memories are here today... and tomorrow...
I think Pooh Bear is more popular today as ever before. There’s a lot to love in the stories A.A. Milne wrote. Children. and parents continue to be touched by the timeless wisdom and of the rich stories. His tales told of his own boyhood memories and gave voice to the child in everyone.
Childhood memories are important and stay with us long after we become adults. I have a few fond memories I’ll never forget for sure. Many of them are of visits to my grandparents farm. I remember hot summer days and sitting on the swinging bridge that went over the creek and fishing. I learned to clean those fish and how to fry them up for dinner too. Somethings we just never forget and I’m thankful for them.
Today we’ll be making more memories in our family as my little granddaughter, our Precious One, will be baptized. We’ll probably be on the road more than we’ll be there, but it’s worth the trip. Hopefully I’ll have some pictures to share with you all soon.
Memories are nice and making them is even nicer. I hope you all take the time to make every moment count. The pictures today are of our snow. In case you haven’t seen enough of it.
A Sunday well spent, means a week of content.
Relax and refresh for the new week ahead.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
One of the advantages of being disorderly is that one is constantly making exciting discoveries.
A.A. Milne
Counting at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2411. for old memories and for the opportunity to make new ones
2412. for our little Precious One, it’s her baptismal day
2413. for a visit with DS#4, he’ll be heading home today
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU ALL !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
Nobody can be un-cheered with a balloon, said Pooh. Nobody can be un-cheered with Pooh
A little smile, a word of cheer,
A bit of love from someone dear…
Love,
ma

While it's true I spend an inordinate amount of time looking back (v. forward), memories are so very precious.
