Today is Clean Off Your Desk Day. This holiday heralds the beginning of some serious spring cleaning. A tidy workspace can do wonders for productivity and peace of mind. The mess and the clutter are a distraction to our creativity and disrupts any freshness of mind space.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, just what does an empty desk mean?

I do have a lot of clutter here and have accepted a challenge from DDIL#5 to spend at least 15 minutes every day decluttering. As I’ve been taking down decorations I know that there have been more than 15 minutes spent each day. As I’ve put things away I’ve also gotten rid of other things that I no longer wanted or needed.
My desk is semi organized. I have baskets for certain things and there is several shelves that hold books I like to have handy. My biggest problem is that I hold on to things to read later on and that rarely happens.
This past week I spent some time in the kitchen decluttering and this week I hope to tackle some of the baskets on the desk and under the desk too.
I hope you all have a great new week ahead. Happy Monday !

This is so funny! I am taking a break from doing that VERY thing!
That is a great challenge to do with the de cluttering, Ma, with 15 minute periods of time. It is amazing what one can get done in that short period of time. I know before we moved, I would allow myself one hour blocks to get things done and then take a break after that time. Most of the time during that hour I finished what I wanted to accomplish. De cluttering is never easy, but worth the effort once it is done.
