Life is a Special Occasion!
Hallmark
October 21st is Babbling Day, which means it’s time to just talk . . . about anything . . . to anyone and everyone. Blatherskites, mark this day on your calendar. This isn't a day to remain silent. Tell everyone you know about this special day. On Babbling Day, we celebrate those with the gift of gab. They never stop talking. They babble on and on. They can turn a simple one sentence statement into an endless dissertation.
Spend this day babbling like a baby, if you must. As for me, I’d rather spend it by a babbling brook.
BTW: In case you didn't know, a Blatherskite is a person who babbles.
If you can't see the Bright Side, polish the dull side
THOUGHT FOR TODAY
Keep your words soft and tender because tomorrow you may have to eat them.

When a child says their first word, it's a magical moment for parents. It usually takes them a while to get a full vocabulary and carry on a conversation and we eagerly await the next word. Then children begin to grow up and we long for a little peace and quiet. Sometimes we have to be careful of what we wish for. Here at my house it’s pretty quiet and often the only person to talk to is myself. I miss the days that I had someone else to talk to.
What we say to others does make a big difference and I think that it’s important that we share kind words giving some praise and affection with others. Too often we tend to pick on what’s wrong in our lives or in the world, but for me it’s better to look on the bright side of things.
Words are powerful and they can make or break someone’s day. When you encourage others, you lift their spirits, you give them hope and inspiration.
Remember it’s nice to be important but it’s more important to be nice.
I hope you all have a terrific Tuesday!
64 DAYS UNTIL CHRISTMAS
There’s an old adage that we learn from our mistakes. So today is the day to slow down and gather your thoughts. Think about what you did wrong last year and what you can do to remedy that mistake this year. For example, last year I waited to get my presents wrapped until I was completely finished shopping. What a chore gift wrapping became. This year I think I’ll be wrapping those gifts as I get them.
COUNTING MY GIFTS
Thankfulness is the beginning of gratitude. Gratitude is the completion of thankfulness. Thankfulness may consist merely of words. Gratitude is shown in acts.
Henri Frederic Amiel
I have counted at least 3 things every day that I'm thankful for 2 years and have now reached 2000 gifts. On my way now to 3000. I'm not stopping, but will continue on counting. There is always, always something to be thankful for.
2147. for the kind words from others that have given me a lift up
2148. for the ability to speak, it’s a gift that not all of us have
2149. for some quiet days here at my house
Enter into His courts with thanksgiving — and in His presence is fullness of Joy!
PRAYER FOR OUR TROOPS
Please pray for God's protection of
our troops and HIS wisdom for their
commanders.
Lord, hold our troops in
your loving hands.
Protect them as they protect us.
Bless them and their families for the
selfless acts they perform for us
in our time of need. I ask this in the
name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior.
AND bless our Police Officers, Firefighters
and Paramedics and EMT's
GOD BLESS YOU !
ADVICE FOR TODAY
The kindest word in all the world is the unkind word, unsaid.

Good Christmas tip to wrap presents as you get them, Ma. I always enjoy listening to a babbling baby :) I think I'll spend sometime babbling today :)

Babbling Day - who knew? I've never been a babbler, more the shy quiet one. I don't even like talking on the phone. Maybe I should venture out of my comfort zone today and babble on to someone.
I need to always remind myself words can hurt!
